Assam Rifles Felicitates 3rd Batch of Rifleman Bevela Lushai Centre of Excellence in Mizoram

Thirty students complete academic session, with aspirants appearing for NEET and JEE examinations to pursue careers in medicine and engineering.

The Assam Rifles organised a farewell ceremony for the 3rd Batch (2025–26) of students from the Rifleman Bevela Lushai AC Centre of Excellence at Zokhawsang, Aizawl, on 22 June 2026, marking the successful completion of another academic session dedicated to nurturing talented youth from across Mizoram.

The ceremony celebrated the achievements, hard work and aspirations of the outgoing batch, which comprised 30 students, including 20 girls and 10 boys, representing various districts of the state including Aizawl, Serchhip, Lunglei, Hnahthial, Khawzawl, Champhai, Kolasib, Mamit and Lawngtlai.

Established to provide quality academic guidance and mentorship to deserving students, the Centre of Excellence has emerged as an important platform for empowering young aspirants and helping them pursue higher education and professional careers.

Of the graduating batch, 24 students appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) with aspirations of joining the medical profession, while six students appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to pursue careers in engineering and technology.

During the farewell ceremony, Assam Rifles officials congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to remain focused on their goals while continuing to strive for excellence in their chosen fields.

The event highlighted the Assam Rifles’ commitment towards educational empowerment and youth development in the North-East region. Through initiatives such as the Rifleman Bevela Lushai Centre of Excellence, the force continues to support talented students by providing academic assistance, mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.

Officials noted that the programme not only contributes to educational advancement but also plays a significant role in fostering confidence, leadership and aspirations among the youth of Mizoram.

The farewell ceremony served as a proud moment for students, parents, mentors and Assam Rifles personnel who have collectively contributed to the success of the initiative.
