Bikaner Paan Merchant Association Elects Umesh Kumar Solanki as Unopposed President, Offers Lapsi to Gau Mata on Tobacco Prohibition Day

The Bikaner Paan Merchant Association, known for its social commitment alongside trade activities, convened a crucial meeting on the last day of the month to observe Tobacco Prohibition Day. The meeting, held at Shri Ganga Jubilee Pinjra Prol Gaushala, Gajner Road, was marked by a spiritual gesture of offering Lapsi Bhog (sweet offering) to Gau Mata (holy cow) and the unanimous election of the association’s president.

Unanimous Re-election of Umesh Kumar Solanki

The highlight of the gathering was the election for the post of President of the association. The process was overseen by social worker and renowned Gau Sevak Devkishan Chandak, who acted as the election officer. Chandak invited nominations for the post of president, allotting one hour for the process.

However, in a show of solidarity and consensus, all present members proposed the name of Umesh Kumar Solanki, who has previously held the post, for reappointment as president. Following the completion of the nomination window, Devkishan Chandak formally declared Umesh Kumar Solanki as unopposed president, sparking a wave of congratulations and celebrations among members. Solanki was felicitated with floral garlands by the association members.

Offering Lapsi Bhog for the Welfare of Cattle

In keeping with its tradition of social service, the association organised a special Gau Prasadi (offering of food to cows) at Shri Ganga Jubilee Gaushala. The offering of Lapsi, a traditional sweet delicacy, was made as a mark of reverence and commitment to the protection of Gau Mata, reflecting the association’s dedication beyond business.

Shops Remained Closed on Tobacco Prohibition Day

In support of the social cause and as a mark of respect for Tobacco Prohibition Day, all paan and related establishments of the association remained voluntarily closed for the day. The association reiterated its commitment to spreading awareness about the harms of tobacco consumption.

बीकानेर पान मर्चेंट एसोसिएशन द्वारा सोमवार को माह के अंतिम दिन तंबाकू निषेध दिवस के अवसर पर एक आवश्यक बैठक गजनेर रोड स्थित श्री गंगा जुबली पिंजरा प्रोल गौशाला में आयोजित की गई। इस दौरान एसोसिएशन ने सामाजिक सरोकारों को प्राथमिकता देते हुए गौ माता के लिए लापसी का भोग लगाया और अध्यक्ष पद को लेकर सर्वसम्मति से निर्णय लिया गया।

उमेश कुमार सोलंकी निर्विरोध बने अध्यक्ष

बैठक में चुनाव अधिकारी के रूप में समाजसेवी व गौसेवक देवकिशन चांडक ने अध्यक्ष पद के लिए नामांकन आमंत्रित किए। इसके लिए एक घंटे का समय निर्धारित किया गया। निर्धारित समय में उपस्थित सभी सदस्यों ने पूर्व अध्यक्ष उमेश कुमार सोलंकी को ही पुनः अध्यक्ष बनाए जाने का प्रस्ताव सर्वसम्मति से रखा।

नामांकन समय समाप्त होने के बाद चुनाव अधिकारी देवकिशन चांडक ने उमेश कुमार सोलंकी को निर्विरोध अध्यक्ष घोषित किया। इस अवसर पर सभी सदस्यों ने एक-दूसरे को मिठाई खिलाकर और फूल-मालाओं से सोलंकी का स्वागत कर बधाई दी।

गौमाता के लिए आयोजित किया गया विशेष भोग

बैठक के उपरांत एसोसिएशन की ओर से श्री गंगा जुबली पिंजरा प्रोल गौशाला में गौ माता के लिए विशेष गौ प्रसादी का आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान परंपरागत तरीके से लापसी का भोग लगाया गया। इस आयोजन ने एसोसिएशन के सामाजिक एवं धार्मिक दायित्वों की मिसाल पेश की।

तंबाकू निषेध दिवस पर प्रतिष्ठान रहे बंद

तंबाकू निषेध दिवस पर सामाजिक सरोकार को ध्यान में रखते हुए बीकानेर पान मर्चेंट एसोसिएशन के समस्त पान दुकानदारों व संबंधित प्रतिष्ठानों ने स्वेच्छा से अपने प्रतिष्ठान बंद रखे। इससे समाज में तंबाकू सेवन के खिलाफ जागरूकता का संदेश गया।
