Bikaner. Sports Competitions were organized by Bikaner Press Club and Winners are awarded by Education Minister Dr B D Kalla on Thursday.
Sports is an important part of our life. Sports brings out personality and talent gets opportunities to come forward. Winning is important in competition, but losing is a better lesson. These words were expressed by Education Minister Dr B D Kalla in the Prize distribution function of Sports Competition organized under the aegis of Bikaner Press Club on Thursday.
He said that today the access of players to sports grounds is decreasing. Therefore, there is a need to promote these sports. He said that sports activities infuse new energy in the life of journalists. In such a situation, the Press Club should now organize such competitions at the state level.
Congratulating the winning teams, Dr. Kalla taught the runners-up to enter the upcoming competitions with the spirit of victory. Special guest Nohar MLA Amit Chachan said that victory and defeat are two sides of the coin. Physical and mental development of a person is done by playing. Players should always play without any malice. Maqsood Ahmed, former chairman of the Urban Development Trust, said that it is important to find time for sports from the busy lifestyle of journalists.
Presiding over the senior journalist Ashok Mathur said that all the journalists of Bikaner are like a family and all work unitedly. Such events are in line with the tradition of Bikaner. Senior journalist Prakash Puglia said, that Bikaner has a golden history of journalism. The younger generation is also following the same ideals.
Press Club President Jaynarayan Bissa told that cricket, running, badminton, table tennis competitions were organized last month. In which many journalists took part. During this, the winner of cricket competition was Virendra Saxena XI and runner-up Ambalal Mathur, Winner of badminton competition Laxman Raghav and Runner-up Sumit Vyas, winner of TT Mukesh Purohit and runner-up Aziz Bhutta and in hundred meters race Anil Rawat, Giriraj Bhadani and Girish Shrimali stood first three places in hundred meters race. Those who contributed to the event were also rewarded. On this occasion, Anurag Harsh, who was included in the state level committee of journalists on behalf of the club, was also honored. Programme was conducted by Shyam Maru.
