BSF Rajasthan Frontier IG ML Garg Visits Bikaner to Review Border Security

Bikaner, November 12. Inspector General (IG) ML Garg of BSF Rajasthan Frontier, Jodhpur, has arrived in Bikaner to conduct an extensive review of the security arrangements along the India-Pakistan international border. He was welcomed by DIG Ajay Luthra, Commandant Subrato Roy, Commandant Sanjay Tiwari of the 124th Battalion, and DC(G) Mahesh Jat.
The purpose of IG Garg’s visit is to examine BSF’s current security preparations, discuss recent heroin seizures, and address the rising drone activities observed in the region. This inspection aims to strengthen the border security apparatus and assess the use of advanced technology to combat evolving threats.
During a briefing, BSF officials presented recent incidents of illegal activity along the border and efforts undertaken to address them. IG Garg expressed concern over the increased drone activities, commending BSF’s initiatives in countering these threats. He emphasized the importance of employing new technological tools to further secure the border and instructed personnel to tighten control measures against smuggling and infiltration.
IG Garg stated that BSF is fully committed to securing the nation’s borders and is taking proactive steps to address challenges such as smuggling and drone activity.
