CAREER COUNSELING SESSIONS FOR APS JAIPUR STUDENTS HELD BY
OBEROI GROUP OF HOTELS & SAKSHAM SANCHAR FOUNDATION

Army Public School in collaboration with Army Wives Welfare Association, Sapta Shakti Command organised Career Counseling Sessions for students of Classes IX to XII in Sapta Shakti Auditorium, Jaipur Military Station on 9 May 2024.
First session was conducted by Mrs Pranav Virmani, Training Manager,Oberoi Group of Hotels & Ms Noopur Pareek, Human Resource Department Manager Trident Hotel, Jaipur. They briefed about the Systematic Training and Education Programme (STEP) which is a renowned training initiative designed to develop individuals into skilled hospitality professionals, specifically in the areas of hotel operations and guest services. Participants receive hands-on training at Oberoi and Trident hotels, gaining exposure to real – world scenarios and working alongside experienced professionals.
It is a second edition of employment program for students of APS Jaipur. In its first edition two students were enrolled for academic year 2023-24 from APS Jaipur.
Another Session was held on Mass Media and Journalism by Ms Archana Sharma & her team. Ms Archana is presently running an NGO, Saksham Sanchar Foundation with an aim to take media education to the last corner of the nation to ensure that local stories from the field of art, craft, cuisine and culture become global and are shared on world platforms.
Mrs Geetanjali Bahl, Chairperson education, South Western Command was the Guest of honour. Speaking at the occasion she said “The STEP programme by Oberai Group and media education by Saksham Sanchar Foundation will help students choose their desired career in multiple fields and build upon skills to shape their future”.
Attended by approximately 400 enthusiastic students of Army Public School, the session was highly informative and interactive. Students asked questions related to the nature of training, future prospects of the course and employment opportunities. The event concluded with presentation of token of appreciation to the Oberoi group & Saksham Sanchar Foundation by Gayatri Kulshreshtha Principal APS, Jaipur.
