Speaking about the tournament, Flight Lieutenant Dr. Arpita Sharma emphasized the importance of making golf more accessible and attractive to a broader audience, especially women, children, and military veterans.
“Golf is a sport that requires precision, patience, and strategy. Unfortunately, it has remained a niche sport in many parts of the country. Through this tournament, we aim to bring more visibility to golf and encourage women and young players to take it up as a sport or even as a career. We also want to provide a platform for veterans to stay active and engaged in a sport that promotes discipline and focus,” said Dr. Sharma.
