आरोपी सुमित कुमार, जो उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रयागराज का निवासी है, असम के डिब्रूगढ़ जिले में स्थित चबुआ एयरफोर्स स्टेशन में मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ (MTS) के पद पर कार्यरत था। हालांकि उसका पद तकनीकी या ऑपरेशनल नहीं था, लेकिन उसने अपने सीमित अधिकारों और पहुंच का दुरुपयोग करते हुए गोपनीय सूचनाएं एकत्र कीं और उन्हें पाकिस्तान के हैंडलर्स तक पहुंचाया।
जैसलमेर से शुरू हुई जांच, राष्ट्रीय स्तर के जासूसी नेटवर्क तक पहुंची
इस पूरे मामले की शुरुआत जनवरी 2026 में राजस्थान के जैसलमेर से हुई, जब इंटेलिजेंस एजेंसियों ने झबराराम नामक एक संदिग्ध को गिरफ्तार किया। शुरुआती पूछताछ में यह मामला सीमित प्रतीत हो रहा था, लेकिन जैसे-जैसे जांच आगे बढ़ी, यह स्पष्ट हो गया कि यह एक बड़े नेटवर्क का हिस्सा है। झबराराम से पूछताछ के दौरान सुमित कुमार का नाम सामने आया, जिसने पूरे मामले की दिशा बदल दी।

जांच एजेंसियों के अनुसार, आरोपी ने बेहद संवेदनशील और रणनीतिक महत्व की जानकारी पाकिस्तान को भेजी। इसमें लड़ाकू विमानों की लोकेशन, उनकी तैनाती की जानकारी, मिसाइल सिस्टम की स्थिति और क्षमता, साथ ही एयरफोर्स के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों से जुड़ी गोपनीय जानकारियां शामिल हैं।
सबसे गंभीर पहलू यह है कि उसने बीकानेर के नाल एयरफोर्स स्टेशन से जुड़ी जानकारी भी साझा की, जो भारत के पश्चिमी सीमा क्षेत्र में एक महत्वपूर्ण एयरबेस है। यह एयरबेस पाकिस्तान सीमा के नजदीक होने के कारण अत्यंत रणनीतिक महत्व रखता है और यहां से भारतीय वायुसेना की त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया क्षमता संचालित होती है।

पूछताछ में यह सामने आया है कि आरोपी 2023 से लगातार पाकिस्तान की खुफिया एजेंसियों के संपर्क में था और वह आर्थिक लाभ के बदले यह संवेदनशील जानकारियां साझा कर रहा था। यह स्पष्ट करता है कि दुश्मन एजेंसियां किस तरह से आर्थिक प्रलोभन देकर अंदरूनी लोगों को अपने जाल में फंसाती हैं।
यह घटना इस बात का भी संकेत है कि केवल उच्च पदों पर बैठे लोग ही नहीं, बल्कि छोटे स्तर के कर्मचारी भी यदि लालच में आ जाएं तो वे राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा के लिए गंभीर खतरा बन सकते हैं।
कानूनी शिकंजा: आधिकारिक गोपनीयता अधिनियम के तहत कार्रवाई
आरोपी के खिलाफ शासकीय गुप्त बात अधिनियम, 1923 और भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS) 2023 की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। राजस्थान के जयपुर स्थित स्पेशल पुलिस स्टेशन में केस दर्ज कर उसे औपचारिक रूप से गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
वर्तमान में विभिन्न केंद्रीय और राज्य स्तरीय खुफिया एजेंसियां संयुक्त रूप से आरोपी से पूछताछ कर रही हैं और इस नेटवर्क से जुड़े अन्य संभावित लोगों की तलाश की जा रही है।
