Noida 9 October. Family is the basic unit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. The breakdown of family is one of the most tragic events for mankind. Indian culture has a liberal character, family tradition has been rich in India since ancient times, the above views were expressed by Dr. Markandeya Rai, Advisor to UN Habitat and President of GPF India. Dr Rashmi Singh, Tax and Mining Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir, said that the Government of India has made several policy experiments in ensuring the dignity of Familymakers, mothers, sisters and men. Evaluation system should be developed. She also expressed concern over the problems being faced in family life. Along with this, Mrs. Mona Mehra, founder of Vision Search, while mentioning various family related problems, said that the woman who builds the house is not valued properly, whereas it is her labor that creates the family institution due to which men are unable to go out and work. Therefore, the creator of the family should be respected whether he is a man or a woman. The above views were expressed by the experts during the “Family as a Happy Home & Familymaker Award Discussion”, which was organized under the joint aegis of Vision Search, GPF India, Khushigram at Noida Auditorium. Underlining the importance of family in the inaugural session, Dr. Surendra Pathak, Professor, Gujarat Vidyapeeth said that families are the bearers of culture, civilization and values, in Sanatan culture, it is only with the help of families that sages could attain spiritual accomplishments and conclusions useful to humans by doing their sadhana. He said that individualistic life and individualism have caused the greatest damage to the institution of family whereas every individual is in the divisibility of the family, family is in the divisibility of the society, society is in the divisibility of the nation and the nation is in co-existence with the international community. Moderating the session, Ajit Kumar, Founder of Khushigram and CEO of Radiant Media, said that a series of such programs should be organised.
In the panel discussion of the second session of the program, Professor Arpana Khanna, Development Communication Expert, Lady Erwin College, highlighted the importance of communication and healthy communication in the family and said that there is a need to pay special attention to who, when, to whom and what to say in the family. It happens that by communicating with each other with civility, families become happy and free from discord. Accomplished Social worker Mrs. Radhika Gulati said that for a happy family, everyone should maintain their relationships with the family members by ensuring action planning and time management along with their priorities and be happy ourselves, only then we can keep others happy. Well-known social worker Prof. Nirmala Devi said that she has always taught her students that earning money and power alone is not the goal of life. Values and values are what build a family. Mother gives good values and creates good citizens. Contribution of mothers should be respected. Psychologist Mrs. Seema Singh, while mentioning the reasons for arguments and conflicts between parents and children, said that mutual open and healthy communication is necessary to make family life happy, along with it, life skill training is also required. Janajal representative Mr. Kapil Sharma said that he has seen the hard work of his mother and father and gratitude towards them is necessary. Parents are the main creators of the family. Dr. Hemant Gaur, while appreciating his wife’s contribution in building the family, said that nowadays many diseases are arising in the family due to cooking while standing, using commode, eating at the dining table and lack of yoga exercise. . On the basis of special contribution and evaluation in building families, Dr. C.K. Bhardwaj, Akshita Tomar, Mrs. Priyanka Sharma, Mrs. Babita Relia, Priyanka Kumar, Hrithik Arora, Radhika Gulati, Mrs. Krishna Chauhan, Mr. Laxman Jha, Mrs. Madhu Gupta, Mrs. Anju Aggarwal, Mrs. Seema Banerjee, Mrs. Mridula Vice President, Mrs. Seema Singh, Mrs. Sunita Kumari was awarded the Familymaker Award. Its jury members were Mr. Sarvesh Mittal, Ms. Asha Mohini and Vasudha Arora. In the beginning of the program, famous Natyangana Kalapriya’s Chitvan Bansal presented Ganesh Vandana and the children of Ishaan Music Academy presented the national song. A large number of dignitaries including renowned experts from Radiance Media, Khushigram, Janajal, Health Care, Ruh Creation, Organic Wellness, Pragati Parivar, G.P.F. were present in the program. Representatives of many partner organizations in India participated in the event. There was overall happiness amongst the attendees over the initiative as everyone wanted to see happier homes & families, Nation and World which is the basis of vasudhaiv kutumbakam.
