Lt Gen SS Kartikeya Takes Command of Brahmastra Corps at Panagarh, Lt Gen Yash Ahlawat Hands Over Charge
Panagarh, West Bengal: In a significant leadership transition under the Eastern Command of the Indian Army, Lieutenant General SS Kartikeya has assumed command of the Brahmastra Corps at Panagarh, West Bengal, succeeding Lieutenant General Yash Ahlawat.
Lt Gen Yash Ahlawat formally handed over the command of the Brahmastra Corps to Lt Gen SS Kartikeya, a highly experienced officer with an illustrious career in the Indian Army. During the change of command, Lt Gen Ahlawat exhorted all ranks of the Corps to maintain their relentless focus on enhancing operational effectiveness, strengthening combat readiness and maintaining the highest standards of military preparedness.
He also called upon the personnel of the Brahmastra Corps to uphold the proud traditions, ethos and values of the Indian Army while continuing to meet the evolving operational challenges with determination and professionalism.
The leadership transition was witnessed by Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, Army Commander, Eastern Command, who congratulated Lt Gen SS Kartikeya on assuming command of the Brahmastra Corps.
Lt Gen VMB Krishnan also complimented Lt Gen Yash Ahlawat for his exemplary contributions and leadership during his tenure as the Corps Commander.
The Brahmastra Corps, headquartered at Panagarh in West Bengal, plays an important role in the operational architecture of the Indian Army’s Eastern Command. The change of command marks another important transition in the Corps’ leadership as it continues to maintain a high level of operational preparedness and combat effectiveness.

पानागढ़, पश्चिम बंगाल: भारतीय सेना की पूर्वी कमान के अंतर्गत आने वाले ब्रह्मास्त्र कोर में महत्वपूर्ण नेतृत्व परिवर्तन हुआ है। लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एसएस कार्तिकेय ने पश्चिम बंगाल के पानागढ़ में ब्रह्मास्त्र कोर की कमान संभाल ली है। उन्होंने लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल यश अहलावत से कोर की कमान ग्रहण की।
कमांड परिवर्तन के दौरान लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल यश अहलावत ने ब्रह्मास्त्र कोर के सभी सैन्यकर्मियों को संबोधित करते हुए ऑपरेशनल प्रभावशीलता बढ़ाने, युद्धक तैयारी को और मजबूत करने तथा हर परिस्थिति में उच्च स्तर की सैन्य तैयारियों को बनाए रखने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास जारी रखने का आह्वान किया।
उन्होंने सैनिकों से भारतीय सेना की गौरवशाली परंपराओं, मूल्यों और सैन्य ethos को कायम रखते हुए बदलती सुरक्षा चुनौतियों के अनुरूप अपनी परिचालन क्षमता को लगातार मजबूत करने का आह्वान किया।
इस अवसर पर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल वीएमबी कृष्णन, आर्मी कमांडर, ईस्टर्न कमांड ने ब्रह्मास्त्र कोर की कमान संभालने पर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एसएस कार्तिकेय को बधाई दी। उन्होंने लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल यश अहलावत के कार्यकाल के दौरान उनके उत्कृष्ट योगदान और नेतृत्व की भी सराहना की।
पश्चिम बंगाल के पानागढ़ में मुख्यालय वाला ब्रह्मास्त्र कोर, भारतीय सेना की पूर्वी कमान की महत्वपूर्ण परिचालन संरचना का हिस्सा है। कमान में यह बदलाव ऐसे समय हुआ है जब भारतीय सेना अपनी ऑपरेशनल रेडीनेस, युद्धक क्षमता और सैन्य तैयारियों को लगातार मजबूत करने पर जोर दे रही है।
लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एसएस कार्तिकेय के नेतृत्व में अब ब्रह्मास्त्र कोर अपनी परिचालन जिम्मेदारियों को आगे बढ़ाएगा और भारतीय सेना की पूर्वी कमान के व्यापक सुरक्षा ढांचे में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता रहेगा।
