BIKANER, RAJASTHAN: As India prepares to celebrate the 80th Independence Day, the spirit of patriotism at military establishments across the country is increasingly being linked with social responsibility, environmental conservation and community participation. Continuing this spirit, a major plantation and drug-abuse awareness programme was organised at 27 Field Ammunition Depot (27 FAD), Kanasar, under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, bringing together Army personnel, their families, school students and members of the local community for a programme that combined the message of national pride with the responsibility of protecting the environment and building a healthier society.
The programme was organised under the aegis of 81 Headquarters Sub Area and was led by Colonel Poonam Sangwan, VSM, Commandant, 27 Field Ammunition Depot. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from Army officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, soldiers and their families, along with students from Sobasar and Kanasar senior secondary schools. Addressing the gathering, Professor Shyam Sundar Jyani emphasised that plantation in an arid region such as Bikaner should not be viewed merely as an environmental activity but as a long-term effort to protect the lives, livelihoods and future of coming generations. He stressed the need to select species according to local climatic conditions and ensure that planted trees receive sustained care and protection.
His message was particularly relevant for students participating in the programme. In a region where environmental challenges are directly visible in everyday life, the younger generation has an important role in ensuring that conservation becomes a sustained social movement rather than a seasonal activity. Speaking on the occasion, Bikaner Development Authority Deputy Commissioner Kunal Rahar described environmental protection as a collective responsibility and appreciated the Army’s initiative to involve school students and the local community in the plantation drive.
He emphasised that the success of such campaigns cannot be measured simply by the number of saplings planted on a particular day. According to the message conveyed during the programme, the survival, protection and long-term growth of the plants are equally important. In a difficult climatic environment such as Bikaner, the responsibility of ensuring that saplings survive is especially important because newly planted trees can face considerable environmental stress.
The participation of students in plantation and awareness activities can help create a sense of ownership among the younger generation. When students personally participate in planting trees and subsequently observe their growth, environmental conservation can become a practical experience rather than merely a subject discussed in classrooms.
National Research Centre on Camel Highlights Link Between Environment and a Healthy Society
Dr Anil Kumar Poonia, Director of the National Research Centre on Camel, underlined the close relationship between environmental sustainability and a healthy society. He noted that increasing green cover contributes to strengthening local ecosystems and that initiatives aimed at making young people more sensitive to nature can have a long-term impact on society.
For western Rajasthan, environmental sustainability carries particular importance because the region’s economy, traditional livelihoods and biodiversity are closely linked with its fragile desert ecosystem. Initiatives that encourage young people to understand and protect this environment can therefore contribute to a wider culture of ecological responsibility.
Dr Poonia also emphasised the importance of keeping young people away from social evils such as drug abuse. Programmes that combine environmental awareness, patriotism, discipline and healthy living can provide young participants with positive avenues for engagement and reinforce the importance of responsible citizenship.
Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign Gives Strong Message to Students
Alongside the plantation drive, the programme included a dedicated drug de-addiction awareness session under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. स्वतंत्रता दिवस की 80वीं वर्षगांठ से पहले देशभक्ति, पर्यावरण संरक्षण और सामाजिक जागरूकता का अनूठा संगम
बीकानेर, राजस्थान: देश स्वतंत्रता दिवस की 80वीं वर्षगांठ की तैयारियों में जुटा है और इसी क्रम में ‘हर घर तिरंगा’ अभियान को केवल राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने तक सीमित न रखते हुए सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी, पर्यावरण संरक्षण, युवा जागरूकता और स्वस्थ समाज के निर्माण से जोड़ने की दिशा में बीकानेर के कानासर स्थित 27 फील्ड एम्युनिशन डिपो (27 FAD) में एक व्यापक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। 81 मुख्यालय सब एरिया के तत्वावधान में आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का नेतृत्व 27 एफएडी की कमांडेंट कर्नल पूनम सांगवान, वीएसएम ने किया। कार्यक्रम में सेना के अधिकारी, जेसीओ, जवान, उनके परिवार, स्थानीय प्रशासन के प्रतिनिधि, पर्यावरण विशेषज्ञ और बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थी शामिल हुए। कार्यक्रम का सबसे प्रमुख आकर्षण व्यापक पौधारोपण अभियान रहा, जिसके तहत कुल 5 हजार पौधे लगाए गए, जबकि इसी दौरान युवाओं को नशे से दूर रहने, स्वस्थ जीवनशैली अपनाने, पर्यावरण संरक्षण और सेना के प्रति जागरूकता का संदेश भी दिया गया।
बीकानेर की शुष्क जलवायु को ध्यान में रखकर लगाए गए 5 हजार पौधे
कानासर और बीकानेर का पूरा क्षेत्र राजस्थान के शुष्क और मरुस्थलीय भूभाग का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है, जहां गर्मी का अत्यधिक तापमान, सीमित वर्षा और जल उपलब्धता की चुनौती पर्यावरण संरक्षण को कठिन बनाती है। ऐसे क्षेत्र में केवल पौधे लगाना पर्याप्त नहीं होता, बल्कि ऐसी प्रजातियों का चयन करना भी जरूरी होता है जो स्थानीय जलवायु के अनुरूप हों और लंबे समय तक जीवित रह सकें। इसी सोच के साथ 27 एफएडी में आयोजित पौधारोपण अभियान के दौरान खेजड़ी, नीम, शीशम, अंजीर, गुलमोहर, गुंडी और केशमल सहित विभिन्न प्रजातियों के पौधे लगाए गए। अभियान का उद्देश्य सैन्य परिसर और आसपास के क्षेत्र में हरित आवरण को बढ़ाना तथा विद्यार्थियों और स्थानीय समुदाय के बीच पर्यावरण संरक्षण को लेकर जिम्मेदारी की भावना विकसित करना रहा।
खेजड़ी और स्थानीय प्रजातियों पर विशेष जोर
राजस्थान के मरुस्थलीय क्षेत्र में खेजड़ी का विशेष पारिस्थितिक महत्व है। यह पेड़ शुष्क परिस्थितियों में जीवन का आधार बनने वाली वनस्पतियों में शामिल है और पश्चिमी राजस्थान के पर्यावरण तथा पारंपरिक ग्रामीण जीवन से गहराई से जुड़ा हुआ है। इसी प्रकार नीम और अन्य स्थानीय परिस्थितियों के अनुकूल प्रजातियों का चयन यह दर्शाता है कि पौधारोपण अभियान को क्षेत्र की वास्तविक पर्यावरणीय जरूरतों के अनुरूप तैयार किया गया। कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से यह संदेश भी सामने आया कि बीकानेर जैसे शुष्क इलाके में पर्यावरण संरक्षण केवल हरियाली बढ़ाने का अभियान नहीं बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों के जीवन, स्वास्थ्य, आजीविका और पारिस्थितिक संतुलन को सुरक्षित करने की दीर्घकालिक पहल है।
सेना, विद्यार्थियों और नागरिक प्रशासन ने मिलकर दिया नागरिक-सैन्य समन्वय का संदेश
इस कार्यक्रम की एक महत्वपूर्ण विशेषता यह रही कि इसमें सेना और स्थानीय नागरिक समुदाय की सक्रिय भागीदारी देखने को मिली। सोबासर और कानासर उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालयों के विद्यार्थियों ने कार्यक्रम में उत्साहपूर्वक हिस्सा लिया। सेना के अधिकारियों, जेसीओ और जवानों के परिवारों के साथ विद्यार्थियों की भागीदारी ने कार्यक्रम को व्यापक सामाजिक स्वरूप प्रदान किया। वहीं बीकानेर विकास प्राधिकरण के उपायुक्त कुनाल राहड़, राष्ट्रीय ऊंट अनुसंधान केंद्र के निदेशक डॉ. अनिल कुमार पूनिया और पर्यावरण क्षेत्र से जुड़े लैंड फॉर लाइफ अवार्डी प्रो. श्याम सुंदर ज्याणी की उपस्थिति ने कार्यक्रम को पर्यावरण, प्रशासन और वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण से भी महत्वपूर्ण बनाया। यह आयोजन इस बात का उदाहरण बना कि सैन्य प्रतिष्ठान स्थानीय समुदाय और प्रशासन के साथ मिलकर पर्यावरण एवं सामाजिक जागरूकता के क्षेत्र में किस प्रकार प्रभावी पहल कर सकते हैं।

कार्यक्रम में प्रो. श्याम सुंदर ज्याणी ने बीकानेर जैसे शुष्क क्षेत्र में पौधारोपण के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए कहा कि यहां पौधे लगाना केवल पर्यावरण संरक्षण की गतिविधि नहीं है, बल्कि यह आने वाली पीढ़ियों के जीवन और आजीविका को सुरक्षित करने की दिशा में किया जाने वाला प्रयास है। उन्होंने स्थानीय जलवायु के अनुकूल प्रजातियों को प्राथमिकता देने और लगाए गए पौधों के संरक्षण पर विशेष ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। उनका संदेश विशेष रूप से विद्यार्थियों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण रहा, क्योंकि पर्यावरण संरक्षण को केवल किताबों तक सीमित रखने के बजाय उसे व्यवहार और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी से जोड़ने की जरूरत है। उन्होंने युवाओं से पर्यावरण के प्रति संवेदनशील बनने के साथ-साथ नशे से पूरी तरह दूर रहने और अनुशासित एवं स्वस्थ जीवन अपनाने का भी आह्वान किया।
बीडीए उपायुक्त कुनाल राहड़ ने कहा—पौधे लगाना ही नहीं, उनकी सुरक्षा भी जरूरी
बीकानेर विकास प्राधिकरण के उपायुक्त कुनाल राहड़ ने पर्यावरण संरक्षण को सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी बताते हुए सेना की इस पहल की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि विद्यार्थियों और स्थानीय समुदाय को साथ लेकर किया गया यह प्रयास नागरिक-सैन्य समन्वय का बेहतर उदाहरण है। उन्होंने इस बात पर विशेष जोर दिया कि किसी भी पौधारोपण अभियान की सफलता केवल लगाए गए पौधों की संख्या से निर्धारित नहीं होनी चाहिए। वास्तव में सफलता तब मानी जाएगी जब लगाए गए पौधे सुरक्षित रहें, उनका संरक्षण हो और वे आने वाले वर्षों में बड़े होकर क्षेत्र के पर्यावरण को मजबूत करें। बीकानेर की कठिन जलवायु को देखते हुए पौधों की देखभाल और संरक्षण की जिम्मेदारी और भी महत्वपूर्ण हो जाती है।
डॉ. अनिल कुमार पूनिया ने पर्यावरण और स्वस्थ समाज के संबंध को रेखांकित किया
राष्ट्रीय ऊंट अनुसंधान केंद्र के निदेशक डॉ. अनिल कुमार पूनिया ने पर्यावरण और स्वस्थ समाज के बीच गहरे संबंध को रेखांकित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि हरित क्षेत्र बढ़ने से स्थानीय पारिस्थितिकी को मजबूती मिलती है और प्रकृति के प्रति युवाओं में संवेदनशीलता विकसित करना लंबे समय के लिए समाज को मजबूत करने वाला कदम है। पश्चिमी राजस्थान में पर्यावरणीय परिस्थितियां बेहद चुनौतीपूर्ण हैं और यहां हरित क्षेत्र का विस्तार स्थानीय पारिस्थितिक संतुलन के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है। उन्होंने युवाओं को नशे जैसी सामाजिक बुराइयों से दूर रखने और उन्हें सकारात्मक गतिविधियों से जोड़ने के लिए ऐसे आयोजनों को उपयोगी बताया।
नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत विद्यार्थियों को किया जागरूक
पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम के साथ-साथ नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत विशेष जागरूकता कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित किया गया। प्रो. श्याम सुंदर ज्याणी ने विद्यार्थियों को नशे के दुष्प्रभावों, इससे बचाव और स्वस्थ जीवनशैली के महत्व के बारे में जानकारी दी। उन्होंने युवाओं से नशे से दूर रहने और अपने जीवन को अनुशासन, सकारात्मक सोच तथा स्वस्थ गतिविधियों से जोड़ने का आह्वान किया। युवाओं में नशे के खिलाफ जागरूकता पैदा करना आज के समय में महत्वपूर्ण सामाजिक आवश्यकता है, क्योंकि किसी भी समाज की वास्तविक ताकत उसके स्वस्थ, शिक्षित और जिम्मेदार युवाओं में होती है। कार्यक्रम में यह संदेश दिया गया कि देशभक्ति केवल राष्ट्रध्वज के प्रति सम्मान व्यक्त करने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि अपने स्वास्थ्य, समाज और देश के भविष्य के प्रति जिम्मेदारी निभाना भी देशभक्ति का ही हिस्सा है।

कार्यक्रम में ‘नो योर आर्मी’ गतिविधि का भी आयोजन किया गया। इसका उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को भारतीय सेना, सैन्य जीवन, अनुशासन और राष्ट्र की सुरक्षा में सेना की भूमिका के प्रति जागरूक करना रहा। ऐसे कार्यक्रम सेना और नागरिक समाज के बीच संवाद और विश्वास को मजबूत करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। खासकर राजस्थान जैसे रणनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्र में, जहां बड़ी संख्या में सैन्य प्रतिष्ठान और प्रशिक्षण क्षेत्र मौजूद हैं, स्थानीय युवाओं के लिए सेना की कार्यप्रणाली और भूमिका को समझना महत्वपूर्ण है। ‘नो योर आर्मी’ गतिविधि के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को यह समझने का अवसर मिला कि भारतीय सेना केवल सीमाओं की रक्षा करने वाली संस्था ही नहीं बल्कि राष्ट्रीय जीवन में अनुशासन, सेवा और जिम्मेदारी की भावना को भी मजबूत करने वाली संस्था है।
हर घर तिरंगा अभियान को पर्यावरण और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी से जोड़ा
‘हर घर तिरंगा’ अभियान के तहत आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम ने स्वतंत्रता दिवस की भावना को एक व्यापक सामाजिक संदेश में बदलने का काम किया। राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के प्रति सम्मान और देशभक्ति की भावना के साथ-साथ पर्यावरण संरक्षण, नशा मुक्ति, युवा जागरूकता और सेना के प्रति समझ को भी अभियान से जोड़ा गया। इस पहल ने यह संदेश दिया कि स्वतंत्रता दिवस केवल अतीत की उपलब्धियों को याद करने का अवसर नहीं है, बल्कि देश के भविष्य के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को समझने का भी अवसर है। 5 हजार पौधों का रोपण, विद्यार्थियों की भागीदारी और नशा मुक्ति जागरूकता कार्यक्रम इसी व्यापक सोच को दर्शाते हैं।
बीकानेर के लिए इसलिए महत्वपूर्ण है यह पौधारोपण अभियान
बीकानेर का पर्यावरण राजस्थान के अन्य कई क्षेत्रों की तुलना में अधिक चुनौतीपूर्ण है। अत्यधिक गर्मी, कम वर्षा और मरुस्थलीय परिस्थितियों के बीच हरित क्षेत्र विकसित करना आसान नहीं है। ऐसे में बड़े पैमाने पर पौधारोपण तभी प्रभावी हो सकता है जब स्थानीय परिस्थितियों के अनुकूल प्रजातियों का चयन किया जाए और उन्हें लगातार संरक्षण मिले। 27 एफएडी में लगाए गए पौधों में खेजड़ी और नीम जैसी प्रजातियों को शामिल किया जाना इसी दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। यदि इन पौधों का नियमित संरक्षण किया जाता है और वे आने वाले वर्षों में विकसित होते हैं तो यह अभियान सैन्य परिसर और आसपास के क्षेत्र के पर्यावरण को मजबूत करने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे सकता है।
युवाओं के माध्यम से पर्यावरण संरक्षण को सामाजिक अभियान बनाने की कोशिश
इस कार्यक्रम में विद्यार्थियों की भागीदारी को विशेष महत्व दिया गया। किसी भी पर्यावरण अभियान की दीर्घकालिक सफलता के लिए युवाओं को इससे जोड़ना बेहद जरूरी है। जब विद्यार्थी स्वयं पौधा लगाते हैं, उसके महत्व को समझते हैं और उसके संरक्षण की जिम्मेदारी लेते हैं, तो पर्यावरण संरक्षण केवल सरकारी या संस्थागत कार्यक्रम न रहकर सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी का रूप ले सकता है। यही सोच इस कार्यक्रम के पीछे दिखाई दी। स्कूलों के विद्यार्थियों की भागीदारी के माध्यम से पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश परिवारों और स्थानीय समुदाय तक पहुंचने की संभावना भी बढ़ती है।
देशभक्ति का अर्थ केवल तिरंगा नहीं, राष्ट्र के भविष्य की जिम्मेदारी भी
27 एफएडी कानासर में आयोजित यह कार्यक्रम स्वतंत्रता दिवस से पहले देशभक्ति की एक व्यापक तस्वीर प्रस्तुत करता है। तिरंगे के प्रति सम्मान जहां राष्ट्रभक्ति का प्रतीक है, वहीं पर्यावरण को सुरक्षित रखना भविष्य के प्रति जिम्मेदारी है। युवाओं को नशे से दूर रखना सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी है और सेना के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करना नागरिक-सैन्य संबंधों को मजबूत करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इन सभी गतिविधियों को एक साथ जोड़कर कार्यक्रम ने यह संदेश दिया कि मजबूत राष्ट्र केवल सैन्य शक्ति से नहीं बल्कि स्वस्थ नागरिकों, सुरक्षित पर्यावरण, जागरूक युवाओं और जिम्मेदार समाज से भी बनता है।

27 फील्ड एम्युनिशन डिपो में आयोजित यह कार्यक्रम सेना की सामुदायिक पहुंच की दृष्टि से भी महत्वपूर्ण रहा। सेना का प्राथमिक दायित्व राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा और सैन्य तैयारियों से जुड़ा है, लेकिन सैन्य प्रतिष्ठानों के आसपास रहने वाले नागरिक समुदायों के साथ संवाद और सामाजिक सहभागिता भी विश्वास को मजबूत करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है। विशेष रूप से पश्चिमी राजस्थान जैसे रणनीतिक क्षेत्र में सेना और नागरिक समाज के बीच बेहतर तालमेल का महत्व और अधिक बढ़ जाता है। स्कूलों के विद्यार्थियों, स्थानीय प्रशासन, पर्यावरण विशेषज्ञों और वैज्ञानिक संस्थानों की भागीदारी ने इस कार्यक्रम को व्यापक स्वरूप प्रदान किया।
स्वतंत्रता दिवस से पहले 27 एफएडी का संदेश—राष्ट्र निर्माण प्रकृति, युवा और जिम्मेदारी से भी जुड़ा है
स्वतंत्रता दिवस की 80वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर 27 एफएडी कानासर में आयोजित यह कार्यक्रम केवल एक पौधारोपण अभियान नहीं रहा। 5 हजार पौधों का रोपण, नशा मुक्ति जागरूकता, ‘नो योर आर्मी’ गतिविधि और ‘हर घर तिरंगा’ अभियान ने इसे राष्ट्र निर्माण से जुड़े एक व्यापक कार्यक्रम का स्वरूप दिया। कार्यक्रम का वास्तविक प्रभाव आने वाले वर्षों में तब दिखाई देगा जब लगाए गए पौधे सुरक्षित रहकर विकसित होंगे और युवा प्रतिभागी नशे से दूर रहकर स्वस्थ एवं जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ेंगे।
बीकानेर जैसे शुष्क क्षेत्र में पर्यावरण संरक्षण की चुनौती बड़ी है, लेकिन इसी चुनौती के बीच इस तरह के सामूहिक प्रयास उम्मीद पैदा करते हैं। 27 एफएडी की इस पहल ने यह स्पष्ट संदेश दिया कि स्वतंत्रता दिवस का उत्सव केवल तिरंगा फहराने और देशभक्ति के नारों तक सीमित नहीं होना चाहिए। देश के लिए जिम्मेदारी निभाना, प्रकृति की रक्षा करना, युवाओं को नशे से बचाना, स्वस्थ समाज का निर्माण करना और नागरिकों तथा सेना के बीच विश्वास को मजबूत करना भी राष्ट्रभक्ति का उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है।
यह पहल आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए एक संदेश छोड़ती है—तिरंगा देश की पहचान है, लेकिन उसकी गरिमा और देश के भविष्य की रक्षा हर नागरिक की जिम्मेदारी है।
