India to Host Largest Ever International Air Exercise: 30 Countries Expected to Participate

New Delhi. In a historic development, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will host its largest international air exercise to date, known as Exercise Tarang Shakti. Air Marshal AP Singh, Vice Chief of Air Staff, announced that this major event will see participation from 10 confirmed countries with their assets and 18 others as observers, potentially making it a 30-country exercise.

The exercise, set to be held in August and September, will be the largest of its kind ever conducted in India. Air Marshal Singh stated, “Exercise Tarang Shakti is a significant milestone for us, aimed at enhancing mutual understanding of air operations through complex missions. It provides an excellent platform for sharing best practices and strengthening international defense cooperation.”

Originally, 51 countries were invited to participate, but logistical and internal challenges have limited the number of participating nations. The exercise will include high-level coordination and operational drills, showcasing advanced air capabilities and promoting strategic partnerships among the participating countries.

With its scale and complexity, Exercise Tarang Shakti is expected to bolster India’s position as a key player in global defense and air operations, fostering greater international collaboration and expertise sharing in the aviation sector.
