Indian Coast Guard Motorcycle Rally to Reach Bikaner on Friday
Bikaner, January 23: To mark the 49th Foundation Day of the Indian Coast Guard, a motorcycle rally titled ‘Sentinel of the Sea: From Border to Ocean’ has been organized. The rally commenced on January 22 from the Attari-Wagah Border and will culminate on February 1, 2025, at the Gateway of India, Mumbai. Covering a distance of 2,300 kilometers, the rally comprises 26 motorcycle riders. It is scheduled to reach Bikaner on January 24, Friday.
The rally aims to highlight the vital role of the Indian Coast Guard in securing the nation’s maritime borders. Additionally, it will disseminate social awareness messages, including ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child), ‘Environment Conservation,’ and the ‘Fit India Movement’ to the public.
The rally is being organized in collaboration with Triumph Motorcycles Limited. Upon reaching Bikaner on January 24, the participants will stay overnight in the city. On January 25, the rally will proceed to Jaisalmer, followed by stops in Jaisalmer on January 26 and Jodhpur on January 27. The participants will then travel from Jodhpur to Udaipur on January 28. On January 29, the rally will pass through the Statue of Unity and reach Daman late at night. The rally will conclude on February 1 at the Gateway of India, Mumbai.
During the journey, Coast Guard personnel will engage with students in various schools to discuss the significance of India’s maritime heritage and the Coast Guard’s role in national security.
This initiative is not just a tribute to the Coast Guard’s service but also a platform to promote critical national campaigns and inspire citizens to contribute towards building a stronger and safer nation.
