INS Androth Commissioned: Indian Navy Strengthens Anti-Submarine Warfare Capabilities with Second Shallow Water Craft
Visakhapatnam, 06 October 2025 — In a landmark event underscoring India’s march towards maritime self-reliance and strategic dominance, the Indian Navy formally commissioned INS Androth, the second Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), at the Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. The commissioning ceremony was presided over by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, in the presence of senior naval officers, representatives from M/s Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, and several distinguished civilian dignitaries.

विशाखापत्तनम, 06 अक्टूबर 2025 – भारतीय नौसेना ने आज INS Androth, दूसरा एंटी-सबमरीन वॉरफेयर शैलो वाटर क्राफ्ट (ASW-SWC), को औपचारिक रूप से कमिशन किया। यह समारोह विशाखापत्तनम के नेवल डॉकयार्ड में आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें वाइस एडमिरल राजेश पेंधारकर, फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ, ईस्टर्न नेवल कमांड की उपस्थिति में यह महत्वपूर्ण अवसर मनाया गया। इस मौके पर वरिष्ठ नौसेना अधिकारी, M/s गार्डन रीच शिपबिल्डर्स एंड इंजीनियर्स (GRSE), कोलकाता के प्रतिनिधि और गणमान्य नागरिक उपस्थित रहे।
