Madanlal Bhati, Chairman of the Rajasthan OBC Commission, extends greetings on National Legal Services Day

National Legal Services Day is a powerful redressal mechanism for building an equitable society: Madanlal Bhati, Chairman, OBC Commission

Jaipur, November 9, Justice (Retd.) Madanlal Bhati, Chairman of the Rajasthan State Other Backward Classes (Political Representation) Commission, Government of Rajasthan, extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of National Legal Services Day. Vikram Rathore, Public Relations Officer of the OBC Commission, Govt. of Rajasthan, stated that in his message, Mr. Bhati said that National Legal Services Day is celebrated every year on November 9 to commemorate the constitutional provisions for providing free and efficient legal services to marginalized and disadvantaged sections of society. India is the world’s largest democracy. The Constitution of India guarantees every citizen equal rights and equal protection under the law. Legal Services Authorities were established under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 to provide free and competent legal services to marginalized and disadvantaged sections of society. The fundamental principle of legal aid is that no citizen, regardless of financial or other constraints, should be denied an equal opportunity to access justice. National Legal Services Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness about legal rights and responsibilities, empower citizens to seek justice in a fair and dignified manner, and serves as a platform to ensure access to justice for all. The day aims to educate people about their legal rights and promote redressal mechanisms to build a more equitable society. Today reminds us that justice must be equal and accessible to all.
