Mahaveer International Veera East Delhi Centre Organises Free Eye Check-up, Blood Test, Lifesaving Kit Distribution and Water Conservation Awareness Drive

Mahaveer International’s Veera East Delhi Centre successfully organised four major health and public awareness initiatives on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Jain Charitable Dispensary and Laxmi Nagar. The programmes were aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, providing essential medical services, and spreading awareness about environmental conservation among the public.
In collaboration with Sharp Sight Centre, a Free Eye Check-up Camp was organised at the Jain Charitable Dispensary, where around 51 people underwent comprehensive eye examinations. Specialist doctors assessed vision-related problems and educated participants about the importance of regular eye check-ups and proper eye care for maintaining healthy eyesight.
A Free Blood Testing Camp was also conducted at the same venue. Participants received complimentary C-Reactive Protein (CRP) tests, while several other diagnostic tests—including Kidney Function Test (KFT), Lipid Profile, Thyroid Profile, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 tests—were made available at concessional rates, enabling people to monitor their health at an affordable cost.
Under the Lifesaving Kit Distribution Programme, emergency medical kits were distributed to individuals aged 45 years and above. The kits contained essential medicines such as Aspirin and Sorbitrate. Participants were also educated about providing immediate first aid during cardiac emergencies and the importance of seeking timely medical assistance.
To promote environmental responsibility, the Centre also organised a Water Conservation Awareness Campaign. Through informative posters carrying messages like “Water is Life” and “Save Water, Save the Future,” the campaign encouraged people to conserve water. Children enthusiastically participated by creating creative posters on water conservation, and the best poster was recognised with a special prize.
The programmes witnessed active participation from Chairperson Veera Neelu Jain, Secretary Veera Preksha Jain, Treasurer Veera Beena Shrimal, Vice Chairperson Veera Anulekha Shah, Joint Secretary Veera Bhavini Doshi, along with Veera Anju Shrimal, Veera Asha Jain, Veera Preeti Jain, Veera Vinita Jain, Veera Vimla Jain, Veera Anita Jain, Veera Mukta Jain, Veera Purvi Mehta, Veera Rakhi Dugad, Veera Yogita, Veera Sonika Jain and Veera Pragya Sand.
Through these initiatives, the Veera East Delhi Centre once again demonstrated its commitment to community healthcare, social responsibility, preventive medicine, and environmental awareness.

महावीर इंटरनेशनल के वीरा पूर्वी दिल्ली केंद्र द्वारा बुधवार, 15 जुलाई 2026 को जैन चैरिटेबल डिस्पेंसरी एवं लक्ष्मी नगर में स्वास्थ्य सेवा एवं जन-जागरूकता को समर्पित चार महत्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रमों का सफल आयोजन किया गया। इन कार्यक्रमों का उद्देश्य आमजन को बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध कराना, समय पर स्वास्थ्य जांच के प्रति जागरूक करना तथा पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश देना था।
शार्प साइट सेंटर के सहयोग से आयोजित निःशुल्क नेत्र जांच शिविर में लगभग 51 लोगों की आंखों की जांच की गई। विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों ने लोगों को दृष्टि संबंधी समस्याओं की जानकारी देने के साथ-साथ नियमित नेत्र परीक्षण एवं आंखों की देखभाल के महत्व के बारे में जागरूक किया।
इसी परिसर में निःशुल्क रक्त जांच शिविर का भी आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें लोगों की सीआरपी (CRP) जांच निःशुल्क की गई। इसके अतिरिक्त किडनी फंक्शन टेस्ट, लिपिड प्रोफाइल, थायरॉयड, विटामिन-डी एवं विटामिन-बी12 सहित कई महत्वपूर्ण जांचें रियायती दरों पर उपलब्ध कराई गईं, जिससे आमजन को कम लागत में अपने स्वास्थ्य की जानकारी प्राप्त हो सके।
जीवनरक्षक किट वितरण कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत 45 वर्ष एवं उससे अधिक आयु के लोगों को एस्पिरिन, सॉर्बिट्रेट सहित आवश्यक दवाइयों से युक्त जीवनरक्षक किट वितरित की गई। साथ ही हृदयाघात जैसी आपातकालीन परिस्थितियों में प्राथमिक उपचार एवं समय पर चिकित्सकीय सहायता के महत्व की जानकारी भी दी गई।
कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत जल संरक्षण अभियान भी चलाया गया, जिसमें “जल ही जीवन है” और “पानी बचाओ, भविष्य बचाओ” जैसे संदेशों वाले पोस्टरों के माध्यम से लोगों को जल संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूक किया गया। बच्चों ने जल संरक्षण विषय पर आकर्षक पोस्टर बनाकर अपनी रचनात्मकता का प्रदर्शन किया तथा सर्वश्रेष्ठ पोस्टर को पुरस्कार देकर सम्मानित किया गया।
कार्यक्रमों में चेयरपर्सन वीरा नीलू जैन, सचिव वीरा प्रेक्षा जैन, कोषाध्यक्ष वीरा बीना श्रीमाल, उपाध्यक्ष वीरा अनुलेखा शाह, संयुक्त सचिव वीरा भाविनी दोशी सहित वीरा अंजू श्रीमाल, वीरा आशा जैन, वीरा प्रीति जैन, वीरा विनीता जैन, वीरा विमला जैन, वीरा अनीता जैन, वीरा मुक्ता जैन, वीरा पूर्वी मेहता, वीरा राखी दुगड़, वीरा योगिता, वीरा सोनिका जैन एवं वीरा प्रज्ञा सांड ने सक्रिय सहभागिता निभाई।
इन सभी कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से महावीर इंटरनेशनल के वीरा पूर्वी दिल्ली केंद्र ने स्वास्थ्य सेवा, सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व, जन-जागरूकता तथा पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता का प्रभावी परिचय दिया।
