महावीर इंटरनेशनल वीरा पूर्वी दिल्ली केंद्र ने ‘सुकून की छाँव’ परियोजना के तहत जरूरतमंद रेहड़ी-पटरी विक्रेताओं को वितरित कीं छतरियाँ
नई दिल्ली, 10 जुलाई 2026:
महावीर इंटरनेशनल के वीरा पूर्वी दिल्ली केंद्र द्वारा शुक्रवार को “सुकून की छाँव” परियोजना के अंतर्गत स्वास्थ्य विहार, गुजरात विहार, लक्ष्मी नगर एवं प्रीत विहार क्षेत्रों में सेवा कार्य आयोजित किया गया। इस पहल का उद्देश्य भीषण गर्मी, तेज धूप और वर्षा के बीच खुले आसमान के नीचे कार्य करने वाले छोटे व्यापारियों को राहत प्रदान करना था।
परियोजना के तहत कुल 11 छतरियाँ जरूरतमंद सड़क किनारे काम करने वाले विक्रेताओं को वितरित की गईं। लाभार्थियों में चाय विक्रेता, मोची, नाई, नारियल पानी विक्रेता, दर्जी, फल विक्रेता तथा अन्य छोटे व्यवसायी शामिल रहे, जो प्रतिदिन कठिन परिस्थितियों में अपनी आजीविका कमाते हैं। छतरियाँ प्राप्त करने के बाद सभी लाभार्थियों ने संस्था के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया और इसे अपने दैनिक जीवन के लिए अत्यंत उपयोगी बताया।
कार्यक्रम में वीरा नीलू जैन (चेयरपर्सन), वीरा प्रेक्षा जैन (सचिव) एवं वीरा विमला जैन ने सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई। उन्होंने स्वयं विभिन्न स्थानों पर जाकर लाभार्थियों को छतरियाँ वितरित कीं तथा उनका उत्साहवर्धन किया।
महावीर इंटरनेशनल के पदाधिकारियों ने कहा कि “सुकून की छाँव” परियोजना का उद्देश्य केवल सामग्री वितरित करना नहीं, बल्कि समाज के उन मेहनतकश लोगों के प्रति संवेदनशीलता और सम्मान प्रकट करना है, जो हर मौसम में कठिन परिस्थितियों के बीच अपने परिवार का पालन-पोषण करते हैं। संस्था का मानना है कि सेवा का वास्तविक अर्थ किसी के जीवन को अधिक सुरक्षित, सहज और सम्मानजनक बनाना है।
Mahavir International Veera East Delhi Distributes Umbrellas to Street Vendors Under ‘Sukoon Ki Chhaav’ Initiative
New Delhi, July 10, 2026:
Mahavir International’s Veera East Delhi Centre organised its “Sukoon Ki Chhaav” (Shade of Comfort) initiative across Swasthya Vihar, Gujarat Vihar, Laxmi Nagar, and Preet Vihar on Friday, aiming to provide relief to roadside vendors working under extreme heat, harsh sunlight, and monsoon conditions.
As part of the project, 11 umbrellas were distributed to needy street vendors, including tea sellers, cobblers, barbers, coconut water vendors, tailors, fruit sellers, and other small entrepreneurs who spend long hours working in the open to earn their livelihood.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, stating that the umbrellas would not only protect them from the sun and rain but also serve as a symbol of care and compassion from society.
The programme witnessed the active participation of Chairperson Veera Neelu Jain, Secretary Veera Preksha Jain, and Veera Vimla Jain, who personally visited different locations to distribute the umbrellas and interact with the beneficiaries.
The organisation said that the “Sukoon Ki Chhaav” initiative reflects the true spirit of community service by making the lives of hardworking people safer, more comfortable, and more dignified. It also highlighted that even small acts of kindness can bring meaningful relief and smiles to those in need.
