The closing ceremony of Operation Netra 1.0 was graced by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, at Rinchen Auditorium in Leh. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army on behalf of the people of Ladakh, acknowledging the profound impact of such initiatives on the region’s socio-economic well-being. Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, also lauded the dedication of the medical teams and emphasized that while the operation has formally concluded, its impact will resonate for years to come in the form of improved quality of life and strengthened community trust.

लद्दाख के दुर्गम और रणनीतिक रूप से अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्र लेह में भारतीय सेना ने एक बार फिर यह साबित कर दिया कि उसकी भूमिका केवल सीमाओं की रक्षा तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि वह देश के सबसे दूर-दराज और उपेक्षित नागरिकों तक भी संवेदनशीलता के साथ पहुंचती है। 26 से 30 अप्रैल 2026 के बीच आर्मी जनरल हॉस्पिटल लेह में आयोजित ऑपरेशन नेत्रा 1.0 एक ऐसा ऐतिहासिक मानवीय अभियान बनकर उभरा, जिसने सैकड़ों लोगों की जिंदगी को अंधेरे से निकालकर उजाले में ला खड़ा किया। इस मेगा आई कैंप के दौरान 200 से अधिक मोतियाबिंद के मरीजों की सफल सर्जरी की गई, जिनमें से अधिकांश ऐसे लोग थे जो वर्षों से धुंधली या लगभग समाप्त हो चुकी दृष्टि के साथ जीवन जी रहे थे। सीमित संसाधनों और कठिन भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों के बावजूद इस स्तर का चिकित्सा अभियान चलाना अपने आप में भारतीय सेना की प्रतिबद्धता और क्षमता का प्रमाण है।

पिछले तीन महीनों में भारतीय सेना ने तंगत्से, चुशुल, न्योमा, नुब्रा वैली और कारगिल जैसे अत्यंत दूरस्थ और कठिन इलाकों में लगातार आई कैंप्स आयोजित किए हैं। इन अभियानों के माध्यम से 950 से अधिक लोगों को गुणवत्तापूर्ण नेत्र चिकित्सा सेवाएं प्रदान की गईं। यह केवल आंकड़ा नहीं है, बल्कि उन सैकड़ों परिवारों की कहानी है जिनकी जिंदगी में पहली बार स्पष्ट दृष्टि और नई उम्मीद का संचार हुआ। इन क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोग अक्सर चिकित्सा सुविधाओं के अभाव में छोटी-छोटी बीमारियों को भी वर्षों तक झेलते रहते हैं, ऐसे में इस तरह के विशेष शिविर उनके लिए किसी वरदान से कम नहीं हैं।
सैन्य और नागरिक चिकित्सा संस्थानों का उत्कृष्ट समन्वय
इस पूरे अभियान की सफलता के पीछे भारतीय सेना और नागरिक चिकित्सा संस्थानों के बीच बेहतरीन तालमेल देखने को मिला। आर्मी हॉस्पिटल (रिसर्च एंड रेफरल), नई दिल्ली के अनुभवी नेत्र रोग विशेषज्ञों की टीम, जिसका नेतृत्व ब्रिगेडियर संजय कुमार मिश्रा ने किया, ने एसएनएम हॉस्पिटल लेह के डॉक्टरों के साथ मिलकर इन जटिल सर्जरी को सफलतापूर्वक अंजाम दिया। आधुनिक उपकरणों, उच्च स्तरीय विशेषज्ञता और समर्पित सेवा भावना के चलते सभी मरीजों का इलाज सुरक्षित और प्रभावी तरीके से किया गया। यह मॉडल भविष्य में ऐसे और अभियानों के लिए एक आदर्श उदाहरण बन सकता है।
नेतृत्व की मौजूदगी ने बढ़ाया अभियान का महत्व
ऑपरेशन नेत्रा 1.0 के समापन समारोह में लद्दाख के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना की उपस्थिति ने इस पहल को और भी अधिक महत्व प्रदान किया। उन्होंने रिनचेन ऑडिटोरियम, लेह में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में स्थानीय जनता की ओर से भारतीय सेना के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया और कहा कि इस प्रकार के प्रयास क्षेत्र के सामाजिक और आर्थिक विकास में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। वहीं उत्तरी कमान के सेना कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल प्रतीक शर्मा ने इस मिशन में शामिल सभी चिकित्सकों और सहयोगी टीमों की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह केवल एक अभियान का अंत नहीं है, बल्कि भविष्य में ऐसे और मानवीय प्रयासों की शुरुआत है।
