PPP has no issue with PTI-military leadership talks, says Kundi

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi said on Saturday his party was having no issue in line with the talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and military leadership.

Addressing the press conference, Kundi asserted: “The PTI has five franchises. Each one of them has its own narrative. Those people who have been brought back to the country by the PTI are indulged in terrorism”

“The PTI wants to kowtow to those who are rendering services, while the party [PTI] wants to attack the retired people.”

Kundi said: “Talks will be possible if the PTI admits mistakes and apologises over May 9.”.

Speaking about the possibility of joining the cabinet, Kundi said: “It is up to the PPP’s Central Executive Committee to decide whether to join the cabinet or not. The PPP is neither in a hurry nor wants to join the cabinet.”

– ‘Blue-eyed’ rule damaged KP: PPP leader –

Few days back, PPP leader Akhunzada Chatan said on that the “blue-eyed” rule had damaged the economic situation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Addressing the press conference, Chatan said: “The blue-eyed rule is behind the fresh wave of terror in KP. There is a need to change the policy in Afghanistan. Our policy in connection with Afghanistan has failed on many accounts.”

“It is due to the ill-planned policies that the country is facing a new wave of terror. No implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) was done. There is also no sign of the implementation of NAP in the future,” the PPP stalwart said.

Chatan asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to convene the meeting pertaining to terrorism.

“Even the KP governor had never convened the meeting of the jirga to address the problems. There is a dire need to summon the meeting of the jirga in line with the terrorism issues faced by the emerging districts.”

Highlighting the challenges faced by the KP in terms of education, Chatan said: “Unfortunately, the students have no books in the KP to study.”
