Ranbankura Division Marks 79th Independence Day with Grand Celebrations in Bikaner

In a vibrant display of patriotism and national pride, the Ranbankura Division of the Indian Army commemorated the 79th Independence Day with a series of grand events at Bikaner Military Station. The celebrations were designed not only to pay homage to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters but also to strengthen the spirit of unity among soldiers, families, and the local community.

The Independence Day program unfolded over several days, combining ceremonial grandeur with participatory activities that engaged both the armed forces and civilians. Central to the celebrations was the Tiranga Bike Rally, a spectacular procession that saw soldiers astride decorated motorcycles, proudly carrying the Tricolour through key points in and around the military station. The roar of engines combined with chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” created an electrifying atmosphere.

Complementing the bike rally was the extensive Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, part of a nationwide initiative encouraging citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes. Within the military station, every building, barrack, and residence displayed the Tricolour, transforming the cantonment into a sea of saffron, white, and green. Children, spouses, and veterans participated actively, crafting hand-painted flags, organising cultural performances, and narrating stories of valour from India’s freedom struggle.

Senior officers of the Ranbankura Division addressed the gathering, recalling the sacrifices made by freedom fighters from across the nation. They emphasised the importance of carrying forward the values of courage, resilience, and selflessness that shaped the country’s journey to independence. Special tributes were paid to soldiers from Rajasthan who fought in both the pre-independence freedom movement and in modern-day conflicts.

The celebrations also featured patriotic songs, a march-past by uniformed contingents, and a flag-hoisting ceremony attended by military personnel, their families, and invited dignitaries. The Tricolour was hoisted to the tunes of the national anthem, followed by a gun salute that echoed through the desert skies.

A military spokesperson stated that such events were essential to connect the armed forces with the larger community, especially the youth, who must understand the true meaning of freedom and the sacrifices made to protect it. “The Ranbankura Division remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation, just as our forefathers fought to secure its independence,” he added.

As the celebrations concluded, the spirit of patriotism lingered in the air — a reminder that freedom, once hard-earned, must be preserved with unwavering dedication.

देशभक्ति और राष्ट्रीय गौरव के अद्भुत संगम के साथ, भारतीय सेना के रणबांकुरा डिवीजन ने 79वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस का भव्य आयोजन बीकानेर सैन्य स्टेशन में किया। इन आयोजनों का उद्देश्य न केवल देश के स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों की अमर गाथा को नमन करना था, बल्कि सैनिकों, उनके परिवारों और स्थानीय समुदाय के बीच एकता और देशभक्ति की भावना को और मजबूत करना भी था।

कार्यक्रम कई दिनों तक चला, जिसमें सैन्य गरिमा के साथ-साथ जनभागीदारी को भी विशेष महत्व दिया गया। इस श्रृंखला का मुख्य आकर्षण रहा तिरंगा बाइक रैली, जिसमें सैनिक तिरंगे से सजे मोटरसाइकिलों पर सवार होकर पूरे सैन्य स्टेशन और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में निकले। इंजन की गड़गड़ाहट और “भारत माता की जय” व “वंदे मातरम्” के नारों से पूरा वातावरण गूंज उठा।

इसके साथ ही हर घर तिरंगा अभियान के तहत सैन्य स्टेशन के हर भवन, बैरक और आवास पर तिरंगा लहराया गया। पूरा कैंटोनमेंट क्षेत्र केसरिया, सफेद और हरे रंग में रंगा नजर आया। बच्चों, महिलाओं और पूर्व सैनिकों ने भी सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाई — हाथ से बने तिरंगे तैयार किए, देशभक्ति गीत प्रस्तुत किए और स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के वीर प्रसंग सुनाए।

वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारियों ने अपने संबोधन में देश के स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के बलिदान को याद किया और राजस्थान के उन वीरों को विशेष श्रद्धांजलि दी जिन्होंने आज़ादी की लड़ाई और आधुनिक युद्धों में अपना सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया।

सेना के एक प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि ऐसे आयोजन युवाओं और समाज को यह संदेश देने के लिए जरूरी हैं कि आज़ादी की कीमत क्या है और इसे बनाए रखना कितना आवश्यक है। उन्होंने कहा, “रणबांकुरा डिवीजन देश की संप्रभुता की रक्षा के लिए हमेशा तत्पर है, जैसे हमारे पूर्वजों ने इसे प्राप्त करने के लिए संघर्ष किया।”

समारोह के समापन के बाद भी पूरे वातावरण में देशभक्ति की गूंज बनी रही — यह याद दिलाते हुए कि स्वतंत्रता एक बार हासिल होने के बाद भी उसकी रक्षा के लिए अटूट संकल्प की आवश्यकता होती है।
