REXCO Distributes Scooters and Devices to Differently-Abled Veterans and Dependents in Jaipur under CSR Initiative

Jaipur, 17 June 2025 – In a remarkable gesture acknowledging the sacrifices and continued contributions of the Indian Armed Forces veterans, the Rajasthan Ex-Servicemen Corporation (REXCO), under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, distributed mobility equipment including specially designed three-wheeled scooters, wheelchairs, hand-powered bicycles, and assistive sensor devices to differently-abled veterans and their dependents. The distribution ceremony was held at the Sapt Shakti Auditorium in the Jaipur Cantonment.
The initiative was part of REXCO’s sustained efforts to support the welfare and dignity of ex-servicemen in Rajasthan. Though Minister for Soldiers’ Welfare Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore could not attend the event due to an urgent meeting with the Chief Minister, the department was ably represented by Brigadier V.S. Rathore, Director of the Sainik Kalyan Vibhag.
REXCO’s Commitment to Veteran Welfare
Mahar General Vijay Singh, Managing Director of REXCO, addressed the gathering, emphasising the organisation’s dedication towards honourable livelihood for ex-servicemen. “REXCO, a Government of Rajasthan enterprise formed in 2012, has always been proactive in championing the rights and rehabilitation of ex-servicemen,” said Major General Singh. He reaffirmed that under the CSR initiative, REXCO regularly provides welfare equipment to deserving veterans every year and will continue to do so.
He further added that REXCO not only aims to provide equipment but also focuses on creating meaningful employment opportunities, recognising that many ex-servicemen wish to continue serving society even after retirement.
Veterans Never Retire from Service
Brigadier V.S. Rathore, in his address, lauded the indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers, stating, “A soldier never truly retires; their service to the nation continues in every form throughout their lives.” He praised the CSR initiative as a symbol of the government’s commitment to those who dedicated their youth and strength for the country’s defence.
Equipment and Recognitions
A total of 12 three-wheeled scooters, manual tricycles, wheelchairs, and assistive sensors were distributed during the event. The equipment is designed to improve mobility, independence, and dignity of veterans facing physical challenges.
The event also featured an award ceremony honouring REXCO’s top-performing ex-servicemen. They were felicitated with cash prizes, REXCO mementos, and commendation certificates by Brigadier Rathore and Major General Vijay Singh in recognition of their service and contribution.
Distinguished Presence
The program was graced by several dignitaries from military and administrative domains, including Major General Rohit Mehrotra, GOC 61 Sub Area, Bharat Sokhiyaan, Senior Deputy Secretary, Sainik Kalyan Department, Captain Narendra Gajraj (Admin Officer, REXCO), and Subedar Major Bajrang Singh Rathore (Security Officer, REXCO).
The ceremony was attended by a large number of veterans and their families from Jaipur, and was smoothly conducted under the compering of Subedar Major Dinesh Sharma.
This initiative reflects Rajasthan’s leading role in ensuring that no soldier or their family is left behind after their active service ends. It also stands as a testimony to the state government’s resolve to build a veteran-friendly welfare system.

जयपुर, 17 जून 2025 – राजस्थान एक्स-सर्विसमैन कॉरपोरेशन (रेक्स्को) ने अपने कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व (CSR) कार्यक्रम के तहत दिव्यांग पूर्व सैनिकों और उनके आश्रितों को विशेष रूप से डिज़ाइन किए गए तीन पहियों वाले स्कूटर, व्हीलचेयर, हाथ से चलने वाली साइकिलें और दिव्यांग सेंसर जैसे सहायक उपकरण वितरित किए। यह कार्यक्रम जयपुर छावनी स्थित सप्त शक्ति ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित किया गया।
यह पहल रेक्स्को की उन लगातार कोशिशों का हिस्सा है जिसके तहत वह राज्य के पूर्व सैनिकों की गरिमा और कल्याण सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कार्य कर रहा है। यद्यपि सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री कर्नल राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौड़ इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री के साथ एक आवश्यक बैठक के कारण उपस्थित नहीं हो सके, लेकिन उनके स्थान पर सैनिक कल्याण विभाग के निदेशक ब्रिगेडियर वीएस राठौड़ ने प्रतिनिधित्व किया।
रेक्स्को की पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए प्रतिबद्धता
रेक्स्को के प्रबंध निदेशक मेजर जनरल विजय सिंह ने समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, “2012 में गठित रेक्स्को हमेशा से पूर्व सैनिकों के पुनर्वास और रोजगार के क्षेत्र में अग्रणी रहा है। हमारी यह कोशिश है कि पूर्व सैनिकों को सम्मानजनक जीवन यापन हेतु निरंतर सहयोग मिले।” उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि CSR योजना के अंतर्गत हर वर्ष उपकरण वितरित किए जाते हैं और यह सिलसिला आगे भी जारी रहेगा।
मेजर जनरल सिंह ने यह भी कहा कि रेक्स्को केवल उपकरण वितरित करने तक ही सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि वह पूर्व सैनिकों को रोजगार दिलवाने और उनकी क्षमताओं का राष्ट्रहित में पुनः उपयोग करने के लिए भी संकल्पबद्ध है।
सैनिक कभी सेवानिवृत्त नहीं होता
ब्रिगेडियर वीएस राठौड़ ने अपने संबोधन में कहा, “एक सैनिक कभी सेवानिवृत्त नहीं होता, वह अपने जीवन के हर क्षण में राष्ट्र सेवा करता रहता है।” उन्होंने कहा कि यह पहल उन वीरों को धन्यवाद देने का एक छोटा प्रयास है जिन्होंने देश की रक्षा में अपना सर्वस्व न्योछावर कर दिया।
उपकरण वितरण और सम्मान समारोह
इस अवसर पर कुल 12 तीन पहिए वाले स्कूटर, हाथ से चलने वाली साइकिलें, व्हीलचेयर, और दिव्यांग सहायता सेंसर वितरित किए गए। ये उपकरण दिव्यांग पूर्व सैनिकों के जीवन को आसान और आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम हैं।
रेक्स्को के उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले पूर्व सैनिकों को नकद पुरस्कार, स्मृति चिन्ह और प्रशंसा-पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया। यह सम्मान ब्रिगेडियर राठौड़ और मेजर जनरल विजय सिंह द्वारा प्रदान किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में विशिष्ट उपस्थिति
कार्यक्रम में जीओसी 61 सब एरिया मेजर जनरल रोहित मेहरोत्रा, सैनिक कल्याण विभाग के वरिष्ठ शासन उप सचिव भरत सोखियां, रेक्स्को के प्रशासनिक अधिकारी (प्रशासन) कैप्टन नरेन्द्र गजराज, तथा रेक्स्को के प्रशासनिक अधिकारी (सुरक्षा) सुबेदार मेजर बजरंग सिंह राठौड़ शामिल हुए।
मंच संचालन का कार्य सुबेदार मेजर दिनेश शर्मा ने किया और जयपुर के अनेक पूर्व सैनिकों ने भारी संख्या में कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया।
यह आयोजन राजस्थान सरकार की उस नीति का प्रतीक है जिसमें हर सैनिक को सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद भी सम्मानपूर्वक जीवन जीने के लिए संपूर्ण सहयोग सुनिश्चित किया जाता है।
