Sisyphus- A Poem by Pedro Lopes Adão
SISYPHUS
Pedro Lopes Adão
(Translated by Cláudia da Cunha Azevedo)
It always blooms at the top, on a peak,
in a snap of desire
a poem-stone hecatomb.
Fall, off the cliff, to encounter nothing,
weed deviate of its purpose, on a grace
that eternally figures itself to the joy
of Men.
(…)
I’m not getting ahead of myself. It’s about to happen.
In your exile of falling you will also rise.
