UP: 4 IPS Officers Reshuffled Amid Voting, PV Ramasastry Will Be New DG Jail

During the third phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh, the government announced a reshuffle in the police department on Tuesday, transferring four IPS officers.

1989 batch IPS officer PV Ramasastry has been made DG Jail. He was awaiting posting order, and now will replace Mr. SN Sabat, an IPS officer of 1990 batch.

Mr. SN Sabat will now take on the responsibility of DGP, CBCID, UP.

Additionally, IPS officer Anand Swaroop of 1992 batch has been moved to the Police Headquarters as the Additional Director General.

While Dr. N Ravinder, an IPS officer of 1996 batch, has now been formally posted as the Additional Director General of Police and GSO of the Director General of Police. He previously served in the same role at the Police Headquarters and held the additional responsibility of Director General GSO.
