Ex-Servicemen Rally 2026 at Abohar Military Station: A Powerful Reunion of Service, Sacrifice and Nation’s Gratitude
Reaffirming its enduring bond with those who have served the nation with honour and pride, the successfully organised a grand Ex-Servicemen Rally and Medical Camp at on 15 February 2026. Conducted under the aegis of the Amogh Division of , the rally emerged as one of the largest veteran outreach initiatives in the region, bringing together more than 3,000 Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, Veer Matas and Next of Kin (NoKs) from across Punjab and Rajasthan. The event stood as a living testament to the Indian Army’s commitment that service to the soldier does not end with retirement but continues for life.
A Regional Outreach Covering Five Districts Across Two States
The rally was meticulously planned to cater to veterans from three districts of Punjab—Fazilka, Sri Muktsar Sahib and Faridkot—and two districts of Rajasthan—Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh. Veterans and families travelled from villages, border belts and interior areas, transforming the Abohar Military Station into a vibrant confluence of uniforms, medals, memories and shared pride. For many, it was not just an administrative event but an emotional homecoming—a rare opportunity to reconnect with the Army, former comrades and the regimental family that once defined their lives.
Presence of Senior Military Leadership and Civil Dignitaries
The event was graced by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, whose presence underscored the highest level of institutional commitment towards veteran welfare. He was accompanied by Mrs Barinder Jit Kaur, Regional President, Sapta Shakti AWWA, reflecting the integral role of Army families in veteran support systems. Also present was Lieutenant General Shamsher Singh Virk, General Officer Commanding, Chetak Corps, along with senior Army officers, civil dignitaries and representatives of multiple welfare organisations. Their collective participation reinforced the message that veteran welfare is a shared responsibility of the Army, civil administration and society.
Cultural Opening: Celebrating the Spirit of Soldiering
The rally commenced on a spirited note with a vibrant cultural programme presented by students of Army Public School, Abohar, along with the military pipe band. The performances celebrated the ethos of soldiering, discipline and sacrifice, while highlighting the indispensable role played by veterans in nation-building. The cultural segment not only set the tone for the day but also served as a bridge between generations, allowing young students to honour and learn from those who safeguarded the nation long before them.
One-Stop Welfare Platform for Veterans and Families
A defining feature of the Ex-Servicemen Rally was the establishment of a comprehensive network of help desks and stalls by Record Offices, Banks, Police authorities, MSMEs and Government Welfare Agencies. Organisations including DIAV, AWPO, ECHS and Zila Sainik Boards provided on-the-spot assistance for grievance redressal, documentation updates, pension and ECHS-related issues, legal queries and employment opportunities. This integrated approach ensured that veterans could resolve long-pending issues under one roof, eliminating bureaucratic delays and enhancing trust in institutional mechanisms.
Medical Camp: Health and Dignity at the Forefront
Alongside administrative support, a dedicated Medical Camp was organised to provide comprehensive health check-ups and specialist consultations. For elderly veterans, war-wounded soldiers and Veer Matas, the medical camp was a crucial component, reflecting the Army’s focus on holistic well-being. Specialist doctors, diagnostic facilities and medical staff worked throughout the day to ensure timely care, reinforcing the principle that the health of veterans remains a priority long after active service.

Addressing the large gathering of veterans, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh reiterated the unwavering commitment of Sapta Shakti Command towards regular communication, engagement, empowerment, recognition and comprehensive care of Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris and Veer Matas. He emphasised that veterans are the moral and experiential backbone of the Army, whose guidance, values and sacrifices continue to inspire serving soldiers. The honours were not merely ceremonial but deeply symbolic, acknowledging lives shaped by duty, loss and unwavering patriotism.
Tangible Support: Mobility Aids and Financial Assistance
Going beyond words, the Indian Army extended tangible support to disabled Ex-Servicemen through the distribution of critical mobility and health aids. These included three three-wheeler e-scooters, twenty-four wheelchairs, twenty-six hearing aids, fifty walking sticks, ten blood pressure machines and ten oximeters, along with substantial financial assistance. For beneficiaries, these aids were life-changing—restoring dignity, independence and mobility, while reaffirming that the Army continues to stand by its soldiers long after the battlefield.
Voices of Gratitude from Veterans and Families
Veterans, Veer Naris and family members expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army and state authorities for organising such a large-scale and meaningful rally. Many described the event as a rare opportunity to reconnect with the Army fraternity, gain awareness about welfare schemes and receive direct, on-ground assistance from multiple agencies. The emotional exchanges, shared memories and collective pride transformed the rally into a deeply human experience rather than a routine administrative exercise.

अबोहर मिलिट्री स्टेशन पर पूर्व सैनिक रैली 2026: सेवा, बलिदान और राष्ट्र के अटूट सम्मान का भव्य संगम
देश के लिए जीवन समर्पित करने वाले सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों के प्रति अपनी आजीवन प्रतिबद्धता को एक बार फिर सशक्त रूप में प्रदर्शित करते हुए ने 15 फरवरी 2026 को में एक विशाल पूर्व सैनिक रैली एवं चिकित्सा शिविर का सफल आयोजन किया। यह आयोजन अमोघ डिवीजन द्वारा के तत्वावधान में किया गया, जिसमें पंजाब और राजस्थान के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों से आए 3000 से अधिक पूर्व सैनिकों, वीर नारियों, वीर माताओं और उनके परिजनों ने भाग लिया। यह रैली केवल एक कार्यक्रम नहीं, बल्कि भारतीय सेना और उसके पूर्व सैनिकों के बीच उस अटूट रिश्ते का जीवंत प्रतीक बनी, जो सेवा समाप्त होने के बाद भी जीवन भर बना रहता है।
दो राज्यों के पांच जिलों तक विस्तृत प्रभाव: सीमावर्ती अंचलों से उमड़ा सम्मान
इस पूर्व सैनिक रैली का दायरा विशेष रूप से व्यापक रखा गया, ताकि पंजाब के फाजिल्का, श्री मुक्तसर साहिब और फरीदकोट तथा राजस्थान के श्रीगंगानगर और हनुमानगढ़ जिलों के अधिकतम पूर्व सैनिक इसका लाभ उठा सकें। दूर-दराज़ गांवों, सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों और कस्बों से आए पूर्व सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों से अबोहर मिलिट्री स्टेशन एक विशाल सैन्य परिवार में परिवर्तित हो गया। कई बुज़ुर्ग सैनिकों के लिए यह अवसर वर्षों बाद सेना परिसर में लौटने जैसा था, जहां वर्दी भले ही न हो, लेकिन गर्व और अनुशासन आज भी उतना ही जीवंत दिखाई देता है।
शीर्ष सैन्य नेतृत्व और नागरिक प्रशासन की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति
इस भव्य आयोजन की शोभा लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनजिंदर सिंह, आर्मी कमांडर, सप्त शक्ति कमान की उपस्थिति से और भी बढ़ गई। उनके साथ श्रीमती बरिंदर जीत कौर, क्षेत्रीय अध्यक्ष, सप्त शक्ति AWWA भी उपस्थित रहीं, जो यह दर्शाता है कि सैनिक परिवार और कल्याणकारी संस्थाएं पूर्व सैनिकों की देखभाल में कितनी अहम भूमिका निभाती हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल शमशेर सिंह विर्क, जीओसी, चेतक कोर, वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारी, नागरिक प्रशासन के प्रतिनिधि और विभिन्न कल्याण संगठनों के अधिकारी भी कार्यक्रम में मौजूद रहे। उनकी सामूहिक भागीदारी ने यह स्पष्ट संदेश दिया कि पूर्व सैनिक कल्याण केवल सेना का नहीं, बल्कि पूरे राष्ट्र का दायित्व है।
सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम से शुभारंभ: सैनिक भावना और राष्ट्र निर्माण का उत्सव
कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत के विद्यार्थियों और सैन्य पाइप बैंड द्वारा प्रस्तुत रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम से हुई। इन प्रस्तुतियों में सैनिक जीवन की कठोरता, अनुशासन, बलिदान और राष्ट्र निर्माण में पूर्व सैनिकों की भूमिका को प्रभावशाली ढंग से दर्शाया गया। बच्चों की प्रस्तुतियों ने यह भी दिखाया कि किस प्रकार सैनिकों की विरासत आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए प्रेरणा बनती है।
एक ही मंच पर सभी सुविधाएं: पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए वन-स्टॉप समाधान
पूर्व सैनिक रैली की सबसे बड़ी विशेषता यह रही कि इसे एक वन-स्टॉप वेलफेयर प्लेटफॉर्म के रूप में विकसित किया गया। विभिन्न रिकॉर्ड कार्यालयों, बैंकों, पुलिस विभाग, MSME इकाइयों और सरकारी कल्याण एजेंसियों द्वारा हेल्प डेस्क और स्टॉल लगाए गए। DIAV, AWPO, ECHS और ज़िला सैनिक बोर्ड जैसी संस्थाओं ने पेंशन, दस्तावेज़ अद्यतन, ईसीएचएस कार्ड, शिकायत निवारण, कानूनी सहायता और रोजगार से जुड़ी समस्याओं का मौके पर ही समाधान किया। इससे पूर्व सैनिकों को बार-बार कार्यालयों के चक्कर लगाने की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ी।
चिकित्सा शिविर: स्वास्थ्य और सम्मान को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता
रैली के साथ आयोजित मेडिकल कैंप ने कार्यक्रम को और भी सार्थक बना दिया। वरिष्ठ नागरिक पूर्व सैनिकों, युद्ध में घायल योद्धाओं और वीर माताओं के लिए व्यापक स्वास्थ्य जांच और विशेषज्ञ परामर्श की व्यवस्था की गई। अनुभवी चिकित्सकों और मेडिकल स्टाफ ने पूरे दिन सेवाएं प्रदान कीं, जिससे यह स्पष्ट हुआ कि भारतीय सेना अपने सैनिकों के स्वास्थ्य और सम्मान को सेवा के बाद भी सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देती है।

पूर्व सैनिकों को संबोधित करते हुए लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनजिंदर सिंह ने सप्त शक्ति कमान की ओर से यह आश्वासन दिया कि पूर्व सैनिकों, वीर नारियों और वीर माताओं के साथ नियमित संवाद, सहभागिता, सशक्तिकरण, सम्मान और समग्र देखभाल को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता दी जाती रहेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि पूर्व सैनिक सेना की नैतिक और अनुभवात्मक रीढ़ हैं, जिनके त्याग और मूल्यों से आज की पीढ़ी के सैनिक प्रेरणा लेते हैं।
वीर नारियों, वीर माताओं और युद्ध में घायल सैनिकों का सम्मान
रैली का समापन एक भावनात्मक सम्मान समारोह के साथ हुआ, जिसमें वीर नारियों, वीर माताओं और युद्ध में घायल पूर्व सैनिकों को उनके अतुलनीय योगदान और बलिदान के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। यह सम्मान केवल औपचारिक नहीं था, बल्कि राष्ट्र की उस कृतज्ञता का प्रतीक था, जो इन परिवारों के साहस और धैर्य के प्रति सदैव बनी रहेगी।
ठोस सहायता: सहायक उपकरण और आर्थिक सहयोग
सम्मान के साथ-साथ भारतीय सेना ने दिव्यांग पूर्व सैनिकों को ठोस सहायता भी प्रदान की। इस दौरान तीन तीन-पहिया ई-स्कूटी, चौबीस व्हीलचेयर, छब्बीस श्रवण यंत्र, पचास चलने की छड़ियां, दस ब्लड प्रेशर मशीनें और दस ऑक्सीमीटर, साथ ही पर्याप्त आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की गई। इन उपकरणों ने कई पूर्व सैनिकों के जीवन को अधिक आत्मनिर्भर और गरिमापूर्ण बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
पूर्व सैनिकों की भावनाएं: कृतज्ञता और अपनापन
