Air Marshal B Manikantan, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Air Command, visited Air Force Station Sonegaon (Nagpur) and Air Force Station Jabalpur to review operational preparedness and combat capabilities.
Focus on Operational Readiness
During the visit, the AOC-in-C:
- Reviewed operational preparedness of air bases and combat elements
- Interacted with personnel and assessed readiness levels
- Emphasised precision, synergy and capability enhancement
Project Gajraj Progress Reviewed
Air Marshal Manikantan was briefed on the progress of Project Gajraj, a Greenfield Air Force Station being developed at the Multi-Modal International Cargo Hub and Airport (MIHAN), Nagpur
Garud Training Facility Inaugurated
He inaugurated a new indoor training facility for the Garud Special Forces, aimed at enhancing training standards and operational capability.

Ceremonial Honours and Interaction
A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented on arrival, followed by detailed briefings and interaction with personnel. The AOC-in-C appreciated the troops for their high morale and professionalism.
AFFWA Engagement
Dr (Mrs) Nirmala T Manikantan, President of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), also interacted with Sanginis, reviewing welfare and health initiatives at the stations.
