Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas formally took over as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Training Command, Indian Air Force, on 01 January 2026, ushering in a significant transition at the helm of one of the most critical commands of the IAF. The assumption of charge comes at a time when the Indian Air Force is undergoing rapid transformation in training philosophy, induction of advanced platforms, and integration of cutting-edge technologies across air, space, and cyber domains. एयर मार्शल सीथेप्पल्ली श्रीनिवास ने 01 जनवरी 2026 को औपचारिक रूप से भारतीय वायुसेना के अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण प्रशिक्षण कमान (Training Command) के एयर ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ (AOC-in-C) के रूप में कार्यभार संभाल लिया। कार्यभार ग्रहण करने के तुरंत बाद उन्होंने प्रशिक्षण कमान युद्ध स्मारक पर पुष्पचक्र अर्पित कर देश के वीर शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि दी। यह क्षण न केवल उनके नए दायित्व की शुरुआत का प्रतीक था, बल्कि भारतीय वायुसेना की उस परंपरा और मूल्यों को भी दर्शाता है, जिनकी नींव त्याग, अनुशासन और राष्ट्रसेवा पर टिकी है।

एयर मार्शल सीथेप्पल्ली श्रीनिवास राष्ट्रीय रक्षा अकादमी के प्रतिष्ठित पूर्व छात्र हैं। उन्हें 13 जून 1987 को भारतीय वायुसेना के फाइटर स्ट्रीम में कमीशन प्राप्त हुआ। लगभग चार दशकों की उनकी सेवा यात्रा प्रशिक्षण, संचालन और रणनीतिक नेतृत्व का उत्कृष्ट संगम रही है। वे ‘कैटेगरी ए’ क्वालिफाइड फ्लाइंग इंस्ट्रक्टर हैं, जो वायुसेना में सर्वोच्च प्रशिक्षक श्रेणी मानी जाती है। उनके नाम 4200 से अधिक सुरक्षित उड़ान घंटों का रिकॉर्ड दर्ज है, जिसमें मिग-21, इस्क्रा, किरण, पीसी-7 एमके-II, एचपीटी-32, माइक्रोलाइट सहित कई विमान शामिल हैं।
उनकी बहुआयामी दक्षता का अंदाजा इस बात से भी लगाया जा सकता है कि वे चेतक और चीता हेलीकॉप्टर पर सेकेंड पायलट के रूप में योग्य हैं और पेचोरा मिसाइल प्रणाली पर ऑपरेशंस ऑफिसर के रूप में भी श्रेणीबद्ध रहे हैं। यह अनुभव उन्हें वायु और वायु रक्षा दोनों आयामों की गहरी समझ प्रदान करता है।
