ARMED FORCES COMMEMORATE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR ACTION FOR WOMEN HEALTH IN MANIPUR

To commemorate the International Day for Action for Women Health on 28 May 2024, Assam Rifles under the aegis of Indian Army organized an Awareness lecture along with Medical Camp at Kangvai village of Churachandpur district in Manipur. The event was organised for the female fertrinity of Kangvai, Kotlian and Mullioh villages. Over 50 women attended and got benefitted by the information and medical facilities provided at the camp.
The event featured essential healthcare provisions and medical assistance and provision of essential medications.
The awareness lecture by an Army doctor focused on the theme “Health is Wealth,” and emphasizing over the importance of understanding women’s health encompassing a wide range of topics pertaining to women folk of the region, including gynecological care, pre-natal care, fertility-related conditions and reproductive health issues.
The event underscored the commitment and everlasting efforts of the Indian Army towards health and welfare of villagers especially women in remote areas of Manipur.
