New Delhi — In a significant diplomatic and military outreach, a high-level Belgian delegation, led by Rear Admiral Coppieters Baudouin, Director General of the Royal Higher Institute of Defence, visited the prestigious National Defence College (NDC) in New Delhi on June 10, 2025. The visit underscores the growing importance of India-Belgium strategic and defence cooperation, particularly in the domain of senior leadership exchange, institutional learning, and global security collaboration.
The four-member Belgian delegation held a series of substantive discussions with the Commandant and senior faculty members of NDC, focusing on global security dynamics, defence strategy, best practices in leadership development, and bilateral training cooperation.
Strengthening Military-Diplomatic Ties
Rear Admiral Baudouin, a distinguished naval officer and one of Belgium’s most experienced strategic leaders, was warmly welcomed at NDC. The interaction marks a deepening of defence educational ties between the two countries and a potential roadmap for future cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, peacekeeping operations, and multilateral forums such as the EU and UN.
