A deeply distressing tragedy has emerged from Bikaner district of Rajasthan, sending shockwaves across the Lunkaransar region. Ajay Godara, a resident of Arjansar village, has lost his life amid the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war, under circumstances that his family describes as deceptive, coercive, and deeply alarming. Ajay had travelled to Russia on a study visa, aspiring for a better future, but allegedly ended up being forcibly inducted into military-related activities and pushed into the war zone.
The news of his death has plunged the entire region into mourning, with grief-stricken villagers demanding accountability and urgent government intervention to prevent such incidents from recurring.
From Study Dreams to a War Zone
According to family members, Ajay Godara left India on 28 November 2024 on a study visa, hoping to pursue education and secure employment opportunities in Russia. However, soon after reaching there, his life reportedly took a dangerous turn. The family alleges that Ajay was lured with promises of money and assured of safe, non-combat roles, including kitchen-related work, only to be later pushed into active military operations near the Ukraine border.
Relatives claim that Ajay was misled at multiple stages—first about the nature of the work and later about the level of training he would receive before any deployment.
“We Were Promised Training, But Sent to War in Days”
In a chilling revelation, Ajay had recorded two videos nearly four months ago, desperately seeking help and warning that his life was in grave danger. In the videos, he reportedly stated that he was promised three months of training, but was instead sent to the battlefield within just four days.
“This is not what we were told. Something else was promised, something else is being done. This could be our last video,” Ajay said in one of the clips, according to his family. These videos have since become a painful reminder of his unheeded cries for help.
Death Confirmation and Repatriation of the Body
Around seven days ago, the family received an official email confirming Ajay’s death. On Tuesday, his mortal remains were flown to Delhi, and arrangements were made to transport the body to his native village in Arjansar shortly thereafter.
As the news spread, scenes of uncontrollable grief unfolded at his home. Family members broke down, struggling to come to terms with the loss of a young man who had left the country with dreams, not to die in a foreign war.
Appeals to Leaders Went in Vain
The family revealed that after Ajay sent distress videos, they had approached senior leaders, including Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Cabinet Minister Sumit Godara, pleading for intervention to ensure Ajay’s safety and return to India. Despite these efforts, help could not reach him in time.
Villagers now question how an Indian citizen on a study visa could be allegedly pushed into a foreign war without adequate safeguards or timely diplomatic rescue.
Mourning in Arjansar and Lunkaransar
Ajay’s death has cast a pall of gloom over Arjansar village and the entire Lunkaransar region. Shops remained closed, conversations were hushed, and residents gathered to console the grieving family. Locals describe Ajay as a hardworking young man who only wanted to build a stable future.
“There is anger along with grief,” said a villager. “This should never happen to any Indian youth again.”
Demand for High-Level Probe and Policy Safeguards
Residents and community leaders have demanded a high-level investigation into the circumstances under which Ajay was allegedly forced into combat. They are urging the Central Government to identify agents or networks that may be exploiting Indian youths abroad under the guise of education or employment.
The villagers have also called for strong diplomatic and policy-level safeguards, ensuring that no Indian citizen—especially students—can be coerced into military or combat roles in foreign conflicts.
A Cautionary Tale Amid a Global Conflict
Ajay Godara’s death underscores the hidden dangers faced by young Indians seeking opportunities abroad, particularly in regions affected by conflict. His story is not just one of personal tragedy, but a warning about exploitation, misinformation, and the urgent need for stronger monitoring mechanisms.
As his body returns home for the final rites, a family mourns, a village grieves, and a nation is left asking difficult questions—questions that demand answers to ensure that no more lives are lost to deception and war far from home.

लूणकरणसर से आई हृदयविदारक खबर
राजस्थान के बीकानेर जिले के लूणकरणसर क्षेत्र से एक ऐसी खबर सामने आई है जिसने पूरे इलाके को गहरे शोक में डुबो दिया है। अरजनसर गांव निवासी अजय गोदारा की रूस-यूक्रेन युद्ध के दौरान मौत हो गई है। अजय बेहतर भविष्य की तलाश में स्टडी वीज़ा पर रूस गया था, लेकिन वहां कथित तौर पर उसे पैसों का लालच देकर और झूठे वादों के सहारे सेना से जुड़ी गतिविधियों में जबरन शामिल कर लिया गया और बाद में युद्ध क्षेत्र में उतार दिया गया।
अजय की मौत की सूचना मिलते ही परिवार पर दुखों का पहाड़ टूट पड़ा है और पूरे लूणकरणसर क्षेत्र में मातम पसरा हुआ है।
पढ़ाई के सपने और युद्ध का भयावह सच
परिजनों के अनुसार, अजय गोदारा 28 नवंबर 2024 को रूस के लिए रवाना हुआ था। उद्देश्य केवल पढ़ाई करना और आगे चलकर एक सुरक्षित करियर बनाना था। लेकिन रूस पहुंचने के कुछ ही समय बाद उसकी ज़िंदगी पूरी तरह बदल गई। परिवार का आरोप है कि अजय को किचन के काम और सुरक्षित नौकरी का झांसा दिया गया, जबकि हकीकत में उसे सैन्य गतिविधियों में शामिल कर लिया गया।
धीरे-धीरे अजय को समझ आ गया कि उसे जिस रास्ते पर धकेला जा रहा है, वह बेहद खतरनाक है और उसकी जान पर सीधा खतरा है।
“तीन महीने की ट्रेनिंग का वादा, चार दिन में जंग”
अजय की मजबूरी और भय उस समय सामने आया जब उसने करीब चार महीने पहले दो वीडियो रिकॉर्ड कर भारत में अपने परिवार और प्रशासन से मदद की गुहार लगाई। इन वीडियो में अजय ने बताया था कि उसे तीन महीने की ट्रेनिंग का भरोसा दिया गया था, लेकिन मात्र चार दिन के भीतर उसे यूक्रेन बॉर्डर के पास युद्ध क्षेत्र में भेज दिया गया।
एक वीडियो में अजय यह कहते हुए दिखाई देता है कि “कुछ और कहा गया था, कुछ और करवाया जा रहा है। यह हमारा आख़िरी वीडियो भी हो सकता है।” आज ये शब्द पूरे इलाके को झकझोर देने वाले बन गए हैं।
मौत की सूचना और अंतिम यात्रा
करीब सात दिन पहले अजय की मौत की पुष्टि से जुड़ा एक ई-मेल परिवार को मिला। इसके बाद से ही घर में मातम का माहौल है। आज अजय का शव दिल्ली पहुंचा, जहां से कुछ ही देर में उसे अरजनसर गांव लाया जाएगा, ताकि अंतिम संस्कार किया जा सके।
घर के बाहर रिश्तेदारों, पड़ोसियों और ग्रामीणों की भीड़ जुट गई है। मां-बाप का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल है और हर आंख नम है।
नेताओं से लगाई थी गुहार, लेकिन नहीं बच सकी जान
परिजनों ने बताया कि अजय के वीडियो सामने आने के बाद उन्होंने उसकी सुरक्षा और भारत वापसी के लिए केंद्रीय मंत्री अर्जुनराम मेघवाल और कैबिनेट मंत्री सुमित गोदारा से भी मदद की अपील की थी। उम्मीद थी कि किसी तरह राजनयिक या प्रशासनिक हस्तक्षेप से अजय को सुरक्षित वापस लाया जा सकेगा, लेकिन दुर्भाग्यवश ऐसा नहीं हो सका।
अरजनसर और लूणकरणसर में शोक की लहर
अजय की मौत की खबर फैलते ही अरजनसर गांव सहित पूरे लूणकरणसर क्षेत्र में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई। गांव में चूल्हे नहीं जले, लोग एक-दूसरे को ढांढस बंधाते नजर आए। ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि अजय एक सीधा-सादा, मेहनती युवक था, जिसने कभी कल्पना भी नहीं की थी कि उसे किसी विदेशी जंग में जान गंवानी पड़ेगी।
उच्चस्तरीय जांच और सख्त कदमों की मांग
ग्रामीणों और परिजनों ने केंद्र सरकार से उच्चस्तरीय जांच की मांग की है। उनका कहना है कि यह पता लगाया जाना चाहिए कि किन एजेंटों, नेटवर्क या संस्थाओं ने भारतीय युवाओं को स्टडी वीज़ा के नाम पर युद्ध क्षेत्र में झोंकने का जाल बिछाया।
साथ ही यह भी मांग की जा रही है कि भविष्य में किसी भी भारतीय युवक के साथ ऐसा न हो, इसके लिए कड़े नियम, निगरानी तंत्र और राजनयिक सुरक्षा व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित की जाए।
एक चेतावनी बन गई अजय की कहानी
अजय गोदारा की मौत केवल एक परिवार का नुकसान नहीं है, बल्कि यह उन हजारों भारतीय युवाओं के लिए चेतावनी है जो विदेशों में बेहतर भविष्य की तलाश में जाते हैं। युद्धग्रस्त देशों में अवसरों के नाम पर होने वाला यह शोषण अब एक गंभीर राष्ट्रीय मुद्दा बनता जा रहा है।
आज जब अजय का पार्थिव शरीर उसके गांव लौट रहा है, तो उसके साथ लौट रहे हैं कई सवाल—ऐसे सवाल, जिनके जवाब मिलना बेहद जरूरी हैं, ताकि कोई और अजय किसी जंग की भेंट न चढ़े।
