Bomb Threat Alert Triggers Full-Scale Security Exercise
A high-intensity mock drill was conducted at Nal Civil Airport, Bikaner, on 19 December 2025 following information regarding a suspected bomb or unidentified object within the airport premises. The exercise was aimed at rehearsing real-time response mechanisms and evaluating preparedness levels of all stakeholder agencies in the event of an actual security emergency.
The drill was carried out without prior intimation to the participating agencies, creating a realistic operational environment and allowing authorities to accurately assess response times, coordination, and on-ground execution.
Airport Security Placed on Maximum Alert
As soon as the simulated bomb alert was generated, the entire airport complex was placed on high security alert. Entry and exit points were closely monitored, emergency protocols were activated, and movement within sensitive areas was regulated. Security forces secured the affected zones and initiated standard operating procedures designed for handling suspected explosive threats.
Police personnel, airport security teams, and emergency responders were swiftly mobilized, demonstrating coordinated action in line with established aviation security guidelines.
Multi-Agency Participation Ensures Realistic Preparedness Assessment
The mock drill witnessed active participation from a wide range of civil and security agencies, reflecting the multi-layered nature of airport security. Key agencies involved included the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Airport Security Unit (APSU), District Police, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), Fire Department, Intelligence Bureau (IB), Medical Services, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and other supporting units.
Each agency performed its designated role, from threat assessment and perimeter control to evacuation readiness, medical response, and intelligence coordination.
Focus on Response Time and Inter-Agency Coordination
A central objective of the mock drill was to evaluate the response time of various agencies and the level of coordination among them during a high-risk security scenario. The exercise provided valuable insights into communication efficiency, command and control structures, and the seamless flow of information between operational teams and decision-makers.
Officials noted that such drills are crucial in identifying gaps, refining procedures, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of emergency response mechanisms at critical infrastructure facilities like airports.
Senior Officials Supervise and Monitor the Exercise
The mock drill was conducted under the supervision of senior administrative and security officials. Among those present on-site were Additional Superintendent of Police Chakravarti Singh Rathore, Airport Director Rajendra Singh Baghela, and senior officers Vivek Yadav and Nehal Sharma, who closely monitored the execution of the drill and provided real-time inputs.
Their presence ensured strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facilitated immediate corrective measures wherever required.
Structured Review Meeting to Analyse Drill Outcomes
Following the completion of the exercise, a comprehensive review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Airport Director Shri Rajendra Singh Baghela. The meeting was attended by CASO Shri Wasim Ahmed, representatives of the Intelligence Bureau, SHO Nal Police, BDDS teams, SDRF, and officials from other participating departments.
The review focused on evaluating the effectiveness of the response, identifying areas of improvement, and reinforcing best practices to further strengthen airport security.
Drill Conducted as Per Prescribed Aviation Security Protocols
The mock drill was successfully executed under the direction of Chief Security Officer Shri Akash Modi and Manager Shri Vivek Yadav, strictly in accordance with prescribed aviation security standards and protocols. Their leadership ensured systematic execution of each phase of the drill, from threat notification to containment, assessment, and de-escalation.
Reinforcing Passenger Safety and Infrastructure Security
Officials emphasized that such mock drills are an integral part of aviation safety management systems. Regular rehearsals not only enhance preparedness but also ensure that all agencies remain alert, coordinated, and capable of responding swiftly to any real-world security threat.
At the conclusion of the drill, the Airport Director expressed appreciation and gratitude to all participating institutions and personnel for their professionalism, cooperation, and valuable contribution toward safeguarding Nal Civil Airport and ensuring the safety of passengers and infrastructure.

बम की सूचना मिलते ही एयरपोर्ट पर हाई अलर्ट, शुरू हुई मॉक ड्रिल
बीकानेर के नाल सिविल एयरपोर्ट पर 19 दिसंबर 2025 को उस समय हड़कंप मच गया जब बम अथवा किसी संदिग्ध वस्तु की सूचना मिलने की खबर सामने आई। हालांकि यह सूचना एक पूर्व नियोजित मॉक ड्रिल (कृत्रिम अभ्यास) का हिस्सा थी, जिसका उद्देश्य वास्तविक आपात स्थिति में सुरक्षा एजेंसियों की तत्परता, प्रतिक्रिया क्षमता और आपसी समन्वय का परीक्षण करना था। इस अभ्यास के तहत सभी संबंधित एजेंसियों को बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना के सतर्क किया गया, ताकि वास्तविक हालात जैसे हालात तैयार किए जा सकें।
एयरपोर्ट परिसर पूरी तरह सील, सुरक्षा व्यवस्था सक्रिय
सूचना मिलते ही एयरपोर्ट परिसर में हाई अलर्ट घोषित कर दिया गया। सुरक्षा बलों ने तत्काल मोर्चा संभालते हुए प्रवेश और निकास बिंदुओं को नियंत्रित किया तथा संदिग्ध क्षेत्र को घेराबंदी कर सुरक्षित किया गया। यात्रियों, कर्मचारियों और एयरपोर्ट अवसंरचना की सुरक्षा को प्राथमिकता देते हुए मानक संचालन प्रक्रियाओं (SOPs) के अनुसार कार्यवाही की गई।
मॉक ड्रिल के दौरान यह परखा गया कि किसी भी संभावित विस्फोटक खतरे की स्थिति में किस तरह से तत्काल निर्णय लिए जाते हैं और किस गति से सुरक्षात्मक कदम उठाए जाते हैं।
बहु-एजेंसी समन्वय के साथ किया गया अभ्यास
इस मॉक ड्रिल में भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरण (AAI), विमानपत्तन सुरक्षा दल (APSU), जिला पुलिस, बम निरोधक दस्ता (BDDS), अग्निशमन विभाग, इंटेलिजेंस ब्यूरो (IB), मेडिकल सेवाएं, राज्य आपदा प्रतिक्रिया बल (SDRF) सहित अन्य संबंधित एजेंसियों ने सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाई।
प्रत्येक एजेंसी ने अपनी निर्धारित भूमिका के तहत कार्य करते हुए यह दिखाया कि संकट की स्थिति में किस प्रकार सामूहिक और समन्वित प्रतिक्रिया दी जाती है।
रिस्पॉन्स टाइम और तैयारियों की हुई गहन जांच
मॉक ड्रिल का एक प्रमुख उद्देश्य सभी एजेंसियों के रिस्पॉन्स टाइम (Response Time) का आकलन करना था। यह देखा गया कि सूचना मिलने के बाद कौन सी एजेंसी कितनी जल्दी मौके पर पहुंचती है, किस प्रकार की कार्रवाई करती है और किस तरह आपसी तालमेल स्थापित किया जाता है।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, ऐसे अभ्यास संभावित कमियों को पहचानने और भविष्य में उन्हें सुधारने के लिए अत्यंत आवश्यक होते हैं, विशेषकर ऐसे संवेदनशील स्थानों पर जहां जनसुरक्षा सर्वोपरि होती है।
वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की मौजूदगी में हुआ निरीक्षण
मॉक ड्रिल के दौरान अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक चक्रवर्ती सिंह राठौड़, विमानपत्तन निदेशक राजेन्द्र सिंह बघेला, अधिकारी विवेक यादव और नेहल शर्मा सहित कई वरिष्ठ अधिकारी मौके पर मौजूद रहे। अधिकारियों ने पूरी प्रक्रिया पर नजर रखते हुए सुरक्षा मानकों के अनुसार अभ्यास को सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न कराया।
समीक्षा बैठक में हुआ अभ्यास का मूल्यांकन
ड्रिल के समापन के बाद विमानपत्तन निदेशक श्री राजेन्द्र सिंह बघेला की अध्यक्षता में एक विस्तृत समीक्षा बैठक आयोजित की गई। इस बैठक में CASO श्री वसीम अहमद, इंटेलिजेंस ब्यूरो के प्रतिनिधि, SHO नाल पुलिस, BDDS टीम, SDRF तथा अन्य विभागों के प्रतिनिधि शामिल हुए।
बैठक में ड्रिल के प्रत्येक चरण की समीक्षा की गई और सुधार की संभावनाओं पर चर्चा की गई, ताकि भविष्य में किसी भी वास्तविक आपात स्थिति से और अधिक प्रभावी ढंग से निपटा जा सके।
निर्धारित सुरक्षा मानकों के अनुसार हुआ सफल संचालन
इस मॉक ड्रिल का संचालन मुख्य सुरक्षा अधिकारी श्री आकाश मोदी एवं प्रबंधक श्री विवेक यादव द्वारा निर्धारित विमानन सुरक्षा मानकों और प्रक्रियाओं के अनुरूप किया गया। उनके नेतृत्व में यह अभ्यास पूरी तरह सफल रहा और सभी एजेंसियों ने अनुशासन एवं पेशेवर दक्षता का परिचय दिया।
यात्रियों की सुरक्षा सर्वोपरि, नियमित अभ्यास जरूरी
ड्रिल के समापन पर विमानपत्तन निदेशक ने सभी सहभागी संस्थाओं और अधिकारियों का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि इस प्रकार के नियमित अभ्यास एयरपोर्ट, यात्रियों और महत्वपूर्ण अवसंरचना की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अनिवार्य हैं। इससे न केवल तैयारियां मजबूत होती हैं, बल्कि किसी भी अप्रत्याशित खतरे से निपटने की क्षमता भी बढ़ती है।
सुरक्षा के प्रति प्रशासन की प्रतिबद्धता
नाल सिविल एयरपोर्ट पर आयोजित यह मॉक ड्रिल दर्शाता है कि प्रशासन और सुरक्षा एजेंसियां किसी भी संभावित खतरे से निपटने के लिए पूरी तरह सतर्क और तैयार हैं। सतत अभ्यास और समीक्षा के माध्यम से हवाई अड्डे की सुरक्षा को लगातार मजबूत किया जा रहा है, ताकि यात्रियों को सुरक्षित और निर्बाध यात्रा का भरोसा दिया जा सके।
