Bridge of Faith: Kishtwar’s 170 Feet-Long Bailey-kundail bridge now through for Machail yatries

JAMMU: 170 feet long Kundail bridge of Kishtwar district has been finally completed and Is now open for Machail yatries. All this was made possible due to hectic efforts of Indian army along with NHIDCL.
The wooden bridge over river Chenab was washed away due to heavy floods triggered by Cloudburst. As the bridge was the sole enroute to holly Machail Matta Temple. 54th Engineering Regiment, 17,RR, 118 RCC & NHIDCL made this possible in a very short span of time. District Administration kishwar was supervising the construction of bridge and finally was thrown open for Machail yatries and in this regard admin also launched 24×7 control room for the ease of Machail Yatries.
Reacting on this, prominent and senior Journalist of Kishtwar Asif Iqbal Naik took to microblogging site facebook and wrote, “Bridge of faith: Army’s 150 feet Bailey bridge constructed at Village Kundail Padder not only shorten the distance, but also bridge the gaps between the hearts. The bridge enroute to holly Machail Matta temple is constructed by 54 Engineering Regiment of the army with the help of 17 RR, NHIDCL & District Administration after existing wooden bridge over river Chenab washed away”.

Yatra was started this on 25th of July 2022 after the two years gap due to COVID pandemic. There is huge influx of pilgrims this year too.
