‘एक पेड़ मां के नाम’ अभियान के तहत बीएसएफ और रोटरी अप्राइज़ ने पेश की पर्यावरण संरक्षण की मिसाल, बीकानेर में 200 से अधिक पौधों का रोपण कर हरित भविष्य का लिया संकल्प

बीकानेर। देश की सीमाओं की सुरक्षा में दिन-रात तैनात रहने वाले सीमा सुरक्षा बल (बीएसएफ) के जवानों ने इस बार पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दिशा में भी एक महत्वपूर्ण संदेश दिया। प्रधानमंत्री के आह्वान से प्रेरित “एक पेड़ मां के नाम” अभियान के अंतर्गत मंगलवार, 7 जुलाई को बीकानेर स्थित जयपुर रोड पर बीएसएफ के मुख्य परिसर के गोल्फ ग्राउंड में एक विशाल वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस अभियान में बीएसएफ अधिकारियों, जवानों तथा रोटरी अप्राइज़ क्लब के सदस्यों ने मिलकर 200 से अधिक पौधे लगाकर पर्यावरण संरक्षण, हरित विकास और प्रकृति के प्रति सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी निभाने का संकल्प लिया।
यह आयोजन केवल पौधे लगाने तक सीमित नहीं रहा, बल्कि प्रकृति और मातृत्व के सम्मान को जोड़ने वाला एक प्रेरणादायी सामाजिक संदेश भी बनकर उभरा। अभियान के माध्यम से यह संदेश दिया गया कि जिस प्रकार मां जीवन देती है, उसी प्रकार एक वृक्ष भी पृथ्वी पर जीवन को सुरक्षित रखने का सबसे बड़ा आधार है।
डीआईजी अजय लूथरा के नेतृत्व में चला अभियान, बीएसएफ अधिकारियों और जवानों ने दिखाई सक्रिय भागीदारी
वृक्षारोपण अभियान का नेतृत्व डीआईजी बीएसएफ अजय लूथरा ने किया, जबकि कार्यक्रम में बीएसएफ सेकंड-इन-कमांड अजय शर्मा विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे। बीएसएफ के अधिकारियों और जवानों ने पूरे उत्साह के साथ पौधारोपण किया और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई। सैनिकों ने अपने दैनिक दायित्वों के साथ-साथ प्रकृति के संरक्षण को भी राष्ट्रीय सेवा का अभिन्न हिस्सा बताया।
अधिकारियों ने कहा कि राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा केवल सीमाओं की रक्षा तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए स्वच्छ पर्यावरण और सुरक्षित प्राकृतिक संसाधन उपलब्ध कराना भी राष्ट्र निर्माण का महत्वपूर्ण दायित्व है।
रोटरी अप्राइज़ और बीएसएफ की साझेदारी बनी सामाजिक सहयोग का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण
इस अभियान में रोटरी अप्राइज़ क्लब ने सक्रिय सहयोग करते हुए सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व का परिचय दिया। क्लब की अध्यक्ष रुचि दफ्तरी ने बताया कि संस्था लंबे समय से पर्यावरण, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और समाज सेवा से जुड़े अनेक कार्यक्रम संचालित करती रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस विशेष अभियान के दौरान लगभग 200 पौधों का रोपण किया गया, जिनमें साइकस पॉम, पेल्टोफोरम, बोगनवेलिया सहित अनेक प्रजातियों के पौधे शामिल थे।
उन्होंने कहा कि पौधे लगाना पहला कदम है, लेकिन उनकी नियमित देखभाल और संरक्षण ही इस अभियान की वास्तविक सफलता होगी। क्लब भविष्य में भी ऐसे पर्यावरणीय अभियानों को लगातार आगे बढ़ाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध रहेगा।
हर पौधे के संरक्षण का लिया गया संकल्प, पर्यावरणीय चुनौतियों से निपटने का दिया संदेश
कार्यक्रम के दौरान उपस्थित सभी अधिकारियों, जवानों और क्लब सदस्यों ने केवल पौधे लगाने तक सीमित न रहकर उनकी नियमित सिंचाई, सुरक्षा और देखभाल का भी सामूहिक संकल्प लिया। वक्ताओं ने कहा कि आज दुनिया जलवायु परिवर्तन, बढ़ते तापमान, वायु प्रदूषण और जल संकट जैसी गंभीर चुनौतियों का सामना कर रही है। ऐसे समय में प्रत्येक नागरिक द्वारा लगाया गया एक पौधा भविष्य की पीढ़ियों के लिए अमूल्य धरोहर बन सकता है।
विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि बड़े पैमाने पर वृक्षारोपण न केवल कार्बन उत्सर्जन को कम करने में मदद करता है बल्कि जैव विविधता, भूजल संरक्षण और स्थानीय पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को भी मजबूत बनाता है।
बीएसएफ सेकंड-इन-कमांड अजय शर्मा ने पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बताया सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी
इस अवसर पर बीएसएफ सेकंड-इन-कमांड अजय शर्मा ने कहा कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण किसी एक संस्था या सरकार की जिम्मेदारी नहीं, बल्कि प्रत्येक नागरिक का नैतिक दायित्व है। उन्होंने कहा कि वृक्षारोपण तभी सफल माना जाएगा जब लगाए गए पौधे वर्षों तक सुरक्षित रहकर विकसित हों। उन्होंने बीएसएफ परिसर को अधिक हरित बनाने के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि इस प्रकार के अभियान समाज में सकारात्मक सोच विकसित करते हैं और लोगों को प्रकृति के प्रति संवेदनशील बनाते हैं।
रोटरी क्लब के पदाधिकारियों और सदस्यों ने निभाई सक्रिय भूमिका
कार्यक्रम में रोटरी अप्राइज़ की अध्यक्ष रुचि दफ्तरी, सचिव पारुल अग्रवाल, कोषाध्यक्ष नेहा ओझा, प्रोजेक्ट कोऑर्डिनेटर शिप्रा शंकर तथा क्लब सदस्य निमिता अग्रवाल और विनीता डूडी सहित अनेक सदस्यों ने सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाई। सभी ने पौधारोपण करते हुए पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश दिया और समाज से भी अधिकाधिक वृक्ष लगाने तथा उनकी देखभाल करने की अपील की।

कार्यक्रम ने यह संदेश दिया कि “एक पेड़ मां के नाम” केवल एक सरकारी अभियान नहीं, बल्कि भावनात्मक, सामाजिक और पर्यावरणीय चेतना का जनआंदोलन है। मां के सम्मान में लगाया गया प्रत्येक पौधा आने वाले वर्षों में हजारों लोगों को शुद्ध वायु, छाया और जीवन प्रदान करेगा। बीएसएफ और रोटरी अप्राइज़ का यह संयुक्त प्रयास यह साबित करता है कि जब सुरक्षा बल और सामाजिक संस्थाएं मिलकर कार्य करती हैं तो पर्यावरण संरक्षण जैसे राष्ट्रीय अभियानों को नई ऊर्जा और व्यापक जनसमर्थन मिलता है।

Bikaner: Demonstrating that national service extends beyond border security, personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF), in collaboration with Rotary Uprise, organized a large-scale tree plantation drive under the nationwide “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign at the BSF Headquarters Golf Ground on Jaipur Road in Bikaner on Tuesday.
The initiative brought together BSF officers, soldiers, and Rotary members with a common objective—to strengthen environmental conservation while paying tribute to motherhood through the symbolic act of planting trees. More than 200 saplings were planted during the campaign, making it one of the significant community-driven green initiatives in the region.
The programme reflected the growing understanding that environmental security and national security are closely interconnected. Healthy ecosystems, cleaner air, and greener landscapes contribute to a stronger and more sustainable nation.
Leadership from Senior BSF Officers Inspired Collective Participation
The plantation drive was led by BSF DIG Ajay Luthra, while Second-in-Command Ajay Sharma also participated in the event. BSF personnel enthusiastically joined the campaign, emphasizing that protecting the environment is as important as protecting the nation’s borders.
Addressing the gathering, officers highlighted that every planted tree represents an investment in the country’s future. They noted that soldiers not only defend the nation’s sovereignty but also contribute towards preserving natural resources for future generations.
Rotary Uprise Strengthens Community Partnership for a Greener Tomorrow
Rotary Uprise partnered with BSF in organizing the campaign, showcasing the power of collaboration between civil society organizations and security forces. Rotary Uprise President Ruchi Daftari said the club has consistently worked in the fields of environmental protection, education, healthcare, and community welfare.
She informed that around 200 saplings were planted during the programme, including Cycas Palm, Peltophorum, Bougainvillea, and several other ornamental and environmentally beneficial species. She emphasized that the success of such campaigns depends not merely on planting trees but on ensuring their long-term survival through proper care and maintenance.
A Commitment to Protect Every Sapling Beyond Plantation Day
One of the key highlights of the event was the collective pledge taken by all participants to nurture and protect every sapling planted during the campaign. Speakers stressed that tree plantation should not remain a symbolic exercise but should evolve into a long-term environmental responsibility.
With climate change, rising temperatures, declining green cover, and increasing air pollution becoming major global concerns, initiatives like these contribute significantly to restoring ecological balance, enhancing biodiversity, improving air quality, and creating healthier urban landscapes.

Speaking during the programme, Second-in-Command Ajay Sharma stated that environmental conservation is a shared responsibility of every citizen. He remarked that plantation drives achieve their true purpose only when planted saplings survive and mature into healthy trees.
He appreciated the ongoing efforts to increase green cover within the BSF campus and encouraged similar initiatives across institutions, schools, public spaces, and communities. According to him, every tree planted today strengthens the nation’s environmental resilience tomorrow.
Rotary Members Join Hands to Spread the Message of Green Citizenship
The event witnessed active participation from Rotary Uprise President Ruchi Daftari, Secretary Parul Agarwal, Treasurer Neha Ojha, Project Coordinator Shipra Shankar, and members Nimita Agarwal and Vinita Dudi, along with BSF personnel.
Together they planted saplings, interacted with participants, and encouraged people to become active contributors to environmental sustainability by planting trees and ensuring their regular care.

The campaign concluded with a powerful message that planting a tree in a mother’s name is both an emotional tribute and an environmental commitment.
