Celebrating the 458th Birth Anniversary of The Bard of Avon, William Shakespeare at the platform of Indian Society for the Promotion of English Language and Literature (iSPELL India) in its 84th Sunday Sahityik Satsang proved to be outstandingly tempting all aficionados of magnetic Shakespeare. The congregation was graced by Dr. Lara Hansen-Morse from University of Nevada, Reno, USA as the keynote speaker with her presence who enlightened the august academicians on the topic titled “Textual Questions in Early Shakespeare Texts”.
At inception on the auspicious day which all and sundry celebrated whole over the world, dynamic and dedicated iSPELLian Dr. Virendra Turkar, Convener of East Maharashtra Forum, iSPELL and Assistant Professor of English, Yashwantrao Chawhan College, Lakhandur, Bhandara, Maharashtra fervently greeted all the notable littérateurs as event Coordinator and proceeded further by introducing the eminent speaker.
Dr Devasree Chakravarti, Assistant Professor of English, Govt. Pt. Madhav Rao Sapre College, Pendra Road, Chhattisgarh precisely summed up with her intuitive additional efforts to add more value to the main discourse.
Further Dr Turkar wholeheartedly uttered lexis of sincere thankfulness towards the guests and dignified gathering of literarians for their cordial presence. Special gratitude was proffered to Mr Pramod Dhengle, IT Coordinator, iSPELL India for handling the technicalities for successful show of the event through various social media means including Zoom and YouTube.
Prof. G A Ghanshyam, Founder and General Secretary, iSPELL India and Professor of English, Directorate of Higher Education, Raipur, Chhattisgarh gave his valuable closure remarks adding more texture to it specifically on English Language Day. He honored Dr. Lara Hansen-Morse, Dr. Virendra Turkur and Dr Devasree Chakravarti with certificates as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
