CNS FAREWELL VISIT TO WESTERN NAVAL COMMAND

Adm R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) and Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President, Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA) paid a farewell visit to Western Naval Command (WNC) from 09 – 10 Apr 24.

The CNS spent a day at sea with ships, submarines and aircraft of the Command. He interacted with personnel of these units and commended them for their high levels of professionalism and commitment in ensuring maritime security in the region while upholding the principles of international law.

At Mumbai, the CNS held interactions with Officers and Sailors of Western Naval Command. The interactions were also attended by personnel from outstation WNC locations over video conference. Various contemporary issues of operations, training, human resource development, digitisation and other transformation initiatives of the Navy were discussed. Suggestions and concerns raised during the interactions were addressed. The CNS also interacted with Defence Civilians at Mumbai and acknowledged their invaluable role as a formidable workforce supporting the Navy’s high tempo of operations.
