COAS General Upendra Dwivedi Visits North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj, Highlights Push for Indigenous Defence Innovation
Army Chief reviews cutting-edge technologies under ‘Raksha Triveni Sangam’ theme, emphasises Atmanirbhar defence ecosystem.
General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited the North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj, held under the theme “Raksha Triveni Sangam – Where Technology, Industry & Soldiering Converge.”
During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on a wide range of indigenous defence innovations showcased by participating industry partners. The exhibits highlighted advancements across multiple domains, reflecting India’s growing capabilities in defence technology and manufacturing.
Gen Dwivedi commended the collaborative efforts between the Indian Army and the indigenous defence industry in driving the vision of Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) in defence production. He emphasised the importance of innovation and partnerships in strengthening India’s military capabilities.
The symposium serves as a key platform fostering synergy between the Armed Forces, industry, and academia. It aims to enhance operational capability, streamline procurement processes, and accelerate the development of a self-reliant defence ecosystem.
The event underscores India’s commitment to leveraging homegrown technologies and collaborative frameworks to meet evolving security challenges and ensure future battlefield readiness.
