General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited the North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj, held under the theme “Raksha Triveni Sangam – Where Technology, Industry & Soldiering Converge.”

During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on a wide range of indigenous defence innovations showcased by participating industry partners. The exhibits highlighted advancements across multiple domains, reflecting India’s growing capabilities in defence technology and manufacturing.

Gen Dwivedi commended the collaborative efforts between the Indian Army and the indigenous defence industry in driving the vision of Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) in defence production. He emphasised the importance of innovation and partnerships in strengthening India’s military capabilities.

The symposium serves as a key platform fostering synergy between the Armed Forces, industry, and academia. It aims to enhance operational capability, streamline procurement processes, and accelerate the development of a self-reliant defence ecosystem.
