Mahajan and Bikaner Witness High-Level Operational Review by Army Commander
The Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness and combat effectiveness received another significant boost as Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Sapta Shakti Command, undertook an extensive visit to the Mahajan Field Firing Range, Sadolai Desert Battle School, and 24 Rapid Ranbankura Division in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The visit formed part of a comprehensive review of the formation’s operational preparedness, mission-oriented training, technological integration, and overall combat capability. During his interaction with officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, instructors, and troops, the Army Commander appreciated the professionalism, dedication, and high morale displayed by all ranks while emphasizing that continuous training and adaptability remain the key pillars of battlefield success in an evolving security environment.
Mahajan Field Firing Range: India’s Premier Desert Warfare Training Ground
The Mahajan Field Firing Range continues to play a crucial role in shaping India’s military preparedness for desert warfare. Spread across the arid terrain of Rajasthan, the range serves as one of the Indian Army’s most important facilities for conducting live-fire exercises, mechanised manoeuvres, combined arms operations, and integrated battle drills involving tanks, artillery, infantry, aviation assets, drones, and surveillance systems. During the visit, Lt Gen Mohit Malhotra reviewed ongoing field exercises and assessed the readiness of troops operating in realistic battlefield conditions. The Army Commander appreciated the school’s contribution towards developing highly skilled soldiers capable of excelling in one of the world’s most demanding operational environments.

भारतीय सेना की युद्ध क्षमता, संचालनात्मक दक्षता और भविष्य की चुनौतियों से निपटने की तैयारियों को और अधिक सशक्त बनाने के उद्देश्य से सप्त शक्ति कमान के जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ (GOC-in-C) लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मोहित मल्होत्रा, AVSM, SM ने राजस्थान के महाजन फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज, सादोलाई डेजर्ट बैटल स्कूल तथा बीकानेर स्थित 24 रैपिड रणबांकुरा डिवीजन का विस्तृत दौरा किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने सैन्य प्रशिक्षण, संचालनात्मक तैयारियों, आधुनिक सैन्य तकनीकों के उपयोग तथा सैनिकों की युद्ध क्षमता का गहन मूल्यांकन किया। उन्होंने अधिकारियों, प्रशिक्षकों तथा जवानों से संवाद करते हुए उनके उच्च मनोबल, अनुशासन और पेशेवर दक्षता की सराहना की तथा कहा कि मिशन आधारित प्रशिक्षण, अटूट अनुशासन और निरंतर सीखने की संस्कृति ही भविष्य की सेना की सबसे बड़ी शक्ति है।
महाजन फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज: भारतीय सेना की रेगिस्तानी युद्ध क्षमता का प्रमुख केंद्र
महाजन फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज भारतीय सेना के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण प्रशिक्षण स्थलों में से एक है, जहाँ टैंक, तोपखाना, मैकेनाइज्ड इन्फैंट्री, ड्रोन, निगरानी प्रणालियों तथा संयुक्त सैन्य अभियानों का यथार्थवादी अभ्यास कराया जाता है। सेना कमांडर ने विभिन्न युद्धाभ्यासों का निरीक्षण किया और सैनिकों द्वारा कठिन रेगिस्तानी परिस्थितियों में प्रदर्शित युद्ध कौशल की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि वास्तविक परिस्थितियों में होने वाला प्रशिक्षण ही सैनिकों को किसी भी चुनौती का सामना करने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार करता है।
संचालनात्मक तैयारियों की व्यापक समीक्षा
निरीक्षण के दौरान सेना कमांडर को तैनाती, रसद व्यवस्था, संचार नेटवर्क, निगरानी प्रणाली, त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया क्षमता तथा युद्धकालीन योजनाओं की विस्तृत जानकारी दी गई। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि भारतीय सेना आधुनिक तकनीक और पारंपरिक सैन्य कौशल का प्रभावी समन्वय करते हुए हर परिस्थिति में शीघ्र एवं निर्णायक कार्रवाई करने के लिए तैयार है। सेना कमांडर ने इस तैयारी पर संतोष व्यक्त किया और निरंतर अभ्यास जारी रखने पर बल दिया।
मिशन आधारित प्रशिक्षण से बन रही है भविष्य की सेना
लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मोहित मल्होत्रा ने कहा कि मिशन आधारित प्रशिक्षण सैनिकों को केवल शारीरिक रूप से ही नहीं बल्कि मानसिक और सामरिक रूप से भी मजबूत बनाता है। उन्होंने प्रशिक्षण के दौरान जवानों द्वारा प्रदर्शित नेतृत्व क्षमता, सामूहिक समन्वय, त्वरित निर्णय लेने की क्षमता तथा कठिन परिस्थितियों में कार्य करने की दक्षता की प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने कहा कि भविष्य के युद्धों में जीत केवल हथियारों से नहीं बल्कि प्रशिक्षित और अनुशासित सैनिकों से सुनिश्चित होगी।
सादोलाई डेजर्ट बैटल स्कूल में विशेष रेगिस्तानी युद्ध प्रशिक्षण
सादोलाई डेजर्ट बैटल स्कूल भारतीय सेना के उन प्रमुख संस्थानों में शामिल है जहाँ सैनिकों को अत्यधिक गर्मी, सीमित संसाधनों, रेतीले इलाकों और कठिन भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों में युद्ध संचालन का प्रशिक्षण दिया जाता है। यहाँ सैनिकों को नेविगेशन, सर्वाइवल, छलावरण, टोही अभियान, गतिशील युद्ध संचालन तथा संयुक्त सैन्य अभियानों की बारीकियाँ सिखाई जाती हैं। सेना कमांडर ने संस्थान की भूमिका की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह भविष्य के सैनिकों को कठिनतम परिस्थितियों में भी सफलतापूर्वक अभियान चलाने के लिए तैयार कर रहा है।
24 रैपिड रणबांकुरा डिवीजन की युद्ध क्षमता का मूल्यांकन
बीकानेर स्थित 24 रैपिड रणबांकुरा डिवीजन के दौरे के दौरान सेना कमांडर ने विभिन्न युद्ध अभ्यासों और संचालनात्मक तैयारियों का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने सैनिकों की त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया क्षमता, संयुक्त सैन्य अभियानों में समन्वय तथा आधुनिक युद्ध तकनीकों के उपयोग का अवलोकन किया। उन्होंने डिवीजन के अधिकारियों और जवानों की व्यावसायिक दक्षता तथा उत्कृष्ट अनुशासन की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह गठन भारतीय सेना की महत्वपूर्ण आक्रामक क्षमताओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है।
भविष्य की चुनौतियों के लिए तकनीकी रूप से सक्षम सेना
