EX-SERVICEMAN RALLY ORGANISED FOR EX SERVICEMAN AND VEER NARIS BY GARHWAL RIFLES REGIMENTAL CENTRE, LANSDOWNE AT GABAR SINGH CAMP KOTDWARA

The Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre, Lansdowne organised a rally for Indian Armed Forces Veterans and Veer Naris at Gabar Singh Camp Kotdwara on 10 Feb 2024. The Rally was graced by 850 (approximately) Ex-serviceman, 26 Veer Naris and their dependents from the Garhwal region.
Lieutenant General Zubin A Minwalla, AVSM, YSM General Officer Commanding, Uttar Bharat Area, Major General R Prem Raj, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Uttarakhand Sub Area, Brigadier Vijay Mohan Chaudhari, Commandant, Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre and other senior officers and dignitaries from the Army and Civil Administration were present during the event.
The rally endeavored to reach out to a large number of Veterans and Veer Naris. The rally provided a joint forum to the Veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents to interact with both military and civil agencies, resolve pending issues and enlighten them upon the latest facilities and schemes being run by the government towards, welfare of the Veteran diaspora. Stalls of Army & Civil administration were setup at the rally site to address the issues and provide timely and meaningful redressal. Veer Naris & War Veterans were facilitated for their services to the nation.
The event culminated as a great success and was the result of dedicated and synergised efforts of Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre and the Civilian administration. Meaningful interaction with the Veteran community resulted in redressal of grievances faced by them in real time through multiple agency coordination during the rally. Refreshments and lunch was also organised for all those attending the rally.
