FIVE AWARDEES FROM RAJASTHAN TO RECEIVE THE HONOURS
IN SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2024

South Western Command Investiture Ceremony 2024 will be held on 24 February 2024 under the aegis of Dot on Target Division, Sapta Shakti Command.
A total of 17 Officers and Soldiers will receive the awards from Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth Army Commander South Western Command. These 17 awardees include 10 gallantry and 7 distinguished service awards. 4 Officers and 1 Other rank from the state of Rajasthan to include Maj Vikas Bhambhu (Posthumous), Major Shubham Gaur, Maj Abhimanyu Repswal and Grenadier Anil Kumar are being awarded Sena Medal gallantry whereas Col Mahendra Singh will receive Vishist Seva Medal, a distinguished award.
Other than these 17 units will also be given General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Unit Appreciation for their noteworthy performance.
The Investiture Ceremony is conducted once a year to confer awards to personnel who distinguish themselves by acts of individual gallantry and exceptional devotion to duty.
The event will be attended by awardees, their family members & many civil and military dignitaries.
