Gaurav Senani Rally: Honoring Veterans and Addressing Their Needs

Jaipur, 24 November 2024: The Chetak Corps under the Sapta Shakti Command of the Indian Army organized an impressive Ex-Servicemen Rally, titled “Gaurav Senani Rally,” at the Government Sports Stadium in Didwana. The event aimed to address pension-related anomalies, provide medical assistance, and extend support to the veterans who have selflessly served the nation.Lieutenant General Nagendra Singh of Chetak Corps, GOC AK Pundir of 24 Rapid Ranbankura Division Bikaner and other top officials were also present. On this occasion, cultural programs were also presented along with adventurous stunts by Ranbankura Division Bikaner.

The rally witnessed the participation of over 3,000 veterans from various regions, showcasing the strong bond between the armed forces and their retired personnel. Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of the South Western Command, was the chief guest for the event. Addressing the gathering, he expressed deep gratitude for the invaluable contributions of the veterans, urging them to continue supporting the nation-building process with the same dedication and patriotism they demonstrated during their service years.

Comprehensive Grievance Resolution Initiatives
The Chetak Corps left no stone unturned in ensuring that the veterans’ grievances were resolved promptly. Numerous stalls were established to provide spot assistance in areas such as:

Pension and Record Office Services: To address discrepancies in pension and service records.

Recruitment and Rehabilitation Assistance: Helping veterans and their families explore opportunities for re-employment and skill development.

Healthcare and Welfare Support: Including stalls from the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) and Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).

State Government Collaboration: At the behest of the District Collector of Didwana, various state departments actively participated in the rally. Stalls from agriculture, health, electricity, irrigation, water supply, and police departments, along with several banks, provided a range of services under one roof.

Honoring Heroes and Supporting Families
A special segment of the rally was dedicated to honoring the Veer Naris (widows of martyrs) and senior or disabled veterans. They were felicitated and provided with assistance tailored to their specific needs, symbolizing the nation’s unwavering commitment to its heroes and their families.

Community Engagement and Government Support
The event also reflected the enthusiastic collaboration between the Indian Army and the state government. District-level initiatives ensured that veterans and their families could access essential public services with ease. The active involvement of state officials and representatives from various banks highlighted the holistic approach adopted to address veterans’ concerns.
