As the nation came together to celebrate the 77th Republic Day with the grandeur of the ceremonial parade, the precision of the flypast, the stately ‘At Home’ reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan and the solemn Beating Retreat Ceremony, an equally critical but largely unseen operation was unfolding in the background. While the eyes of millions were fixed on Kartavya Path and the skies above it, the Delhi Integrated Air Defence Centre (DIADC) remained fully alert, silently ensuring that the airspace over Delhi NCR and its surrounding regions remained inviolable. This multi-layered air defence posture was the result of weeks of planning, real-time coordination and round-the-clock vigilance, reflecting India’s evolving approach to homeland air security during high-profile national events.
Delhi Integrated Air Defence Centre: The Nerve Centre of Aerial Security
At the heart of this massive security architecture was the Delhi Integrated Air Defence Centre, which functioned as the central nerve hub for airspace monitoring, threat assessment and response coordination. जब पूरा देश 77वें गणतंत्र दिवस को भव्य परेड, रोमांचक फ्लाईपास्ट, राष्ट्रपति भवन में आयोजित ‘एट होम’ समारोह और बीटिंग रिट्रीट जैसे गौरवशाली आयोजनों के माध्यम से मना रहा था, उसी समय एक महत्वपूर्ण लेकिन आम जनता की नजरों से दूर रहने वाला अभियान पूरी मुस्तैदी के साथ जारी था। दिल्ली के कर्तव्य पथ और उसके ऊपर के आसमान पर जहां देश की सैन्य शक्ति और सांस्कृतिक विविधता का प्रदर्शन हो रहा था, वहीं दिल्ली इंटीग्रेटेड एयर डिफेंस सेंटर (DIADC) राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र और उसके आसपास के आसमान की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने में पूरी तरह तैनात था। यह बहुस्तरीय वायु रक्षा व्यवस्था सटीक योजना, सतत निगरानी और उच्चस्तरीय समन्वय का परिणाम थी, जिसने गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह को पूरी तरह सुरक्षित बनाया।

सभी सेवाओं और एजेंसियों के सामूहिक प्रयास से दिल्ली एनसीआर क्षेत्र के ऊपर एक मजबूत और बहुस्तरीय वायु सुरक्षा कवच तैयार किया गया। इसमें पारंपरिक हवाई खतरों के साथ-साथ निम्न ऊंचाई पर उड़ने वाले और असममित हवाई जोखिमों पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया गया, जो आधुनिक सुरक्षा परिदृश्य में तेजी से उभर रहे हैं। इस व्यवस्था का उद्देश्य किसी भी अनधिकृत हवाई गतिविधि को समय रहते पहचानना, उसे रोकना और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर निष्क्रिय करना था, ताकि जनसुरक्षा और राष्ट्रीय नेतृत्व पर किसी भी प्रकार का खतरा न आए।
IACCS की भूमिका: तकनीक से सशक्त वायु रक्षा

गणतंत्र दिवस से पहले इस वायु सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के लिए विस्तृत योजना, अभ्यास और परिदृश्य-आधारित ड्रिल्स आयोजित की गईं। अस्थायी हवाई प्रतिबंध, संदिग्ध हवाई गतिविधियों के लिए मानक संचालन प्रक्रियाएं और प्रतिक्रिया स्तर पहले से स्पष्ट रूप से निर्धारित किए गए थे। जब आयोजन का दिन आया, तो यह पूरी तैयारी जमीन पर और आसमान में सटीक क्रियान्वयन के रूप में दिखाई दी। पूरे समारोह के दौरान सतर्कता का स्तर उच्चतम बना रहा और किसी भी स्तर पर ढिलाई नहीं बरती गई।
