In a momentous development for Indian sports and mountaineering, a six-member tri-services delegation from India, including Lt Cdr Shristi Thakur from the Indian Navy, is participating in the 3rd CISM Climbing for Peace event on Mt. Elbrus, Europe’s highest peak at 5,462 meters. This event, organized by the International Sports Council (CISM), brings together teams from 13 countries in a global celebration of unity and peace through climbing.
