INDIAN ARMY FELICITATES STUDENTS OF ARMY CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE AND WELLNESS WHO EXCELLED IN COMPETITIVE EXAMS

Spear Corps of the Indian Army conducted a felicitation ceremony to honour the outstanding achievers, who defied the odds of insurgency and economic status and performed exceedingly well in competitive examinations.
The felicitated students were enrolled in the Army Centre of Excellence and Wellness in Tinsukia, Assam. The institution aims at providing free residential coaching to help bright underprivileged students to crack the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medicals and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for engineering courses.
Twelve students from the previous batch of the center have cleared the 2024 JEE Mains examination in their first attempt and nine have appeared for JEE Advanced, for whom results are awaited. Further, thirty-three students appeared for the NEET examination. They were mentored by specialists engaged by the Army and the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO).
After the examination process, the Indian Army-run center will also assist these students in the counseling process to ensure that the children get admission to the best possible colleges. These students are a beacon of hope and motivation for similar underprivileged yet enterprising students of Upper Assam and the Indian Army will continue its efforts in helping them realise their dreams.
On this occasion, the students and their parents expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the efforts of the Indian Army and exhorted other students to make the best of opportunities made available by this initiative of the Indian Army in Upper Assam.
