Indian Army to Organise Mega Medical Camp for 5,000 Beneficiaries in Kishtwar Under Operation Sadbhavana; Dr Jitendra Singh to Attend
Kishtwar, October 29, 2026: The Indian Army will organise a two-day Mega Medical Camp at the Advanced Landing Ground (ALG), Kishtwar, on November 1–2, 2026, under Operation Sadbhavana, aiming to provide essential healthcare services and welfare assistance to approximately 4,500–5,000 people from Kishtwar district and adjoining remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
The event will be attended by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Member of Parliament from the Udhampur constituency, along with senior military and civil administration officials.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to humanitarian assistance, accessible healthcare and community welfare, particularly for people living in medically underserved and geographically remote areas.
MULTI-SPECIALITY MEDICAL SERVICES AND DIAGNOSTIC FACILITIES
A multidisciplinary team of medical specialists will provide consultations, clinical assessments, preventive healthcare guidance and prescribed medicines to beneficiaries. The medical team will include physicians, eye-care specialists, paediatricians, orthopaedic specialists, nephrologists, anaesthetists, ENT specialists and dental-care professionals.
Diagnostic facilities will also be available at the camp, including Complete Blood Count (CBC), haemoglobin and Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing. These services are intended to facilitate preliminary health assessments and help beneficiaries identify medical concerns requiring further attention.
Special emphasis will be placed on healthcare awareness and support for women, children, elderly citizens and other vulnerable sections of society.
ABHA REGISTRATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF MEDICAL AIDS
A dedicated Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) registration facility will be established at the venue. The facility will help beneficiaries create digital health IDs and access their health records through the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission framework.
The Army will also distribute essential medical and assistive aids to deserving beneficiaries. These will include wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks, walkers, hearing aids and medicines. The initiative aims to improve mobility, accessibility and quality of life for persons with disabilities and individuals requiring medical assistance.
SPECIAL SUPPORT FOR VEER NARIS AND EX-SERVICEMEN
Dedicated facilitation stalls will cater to Veer Naris and ex-servicemen, providing assistance related to veterans’ welfare, pension matters, documentation and grievance redressal in coordination with the concerned authorities.
A separate Youth Facilitation Stall will guide young people interested in joining the Armed Forces. Information will be provided on Agniveer recruitment, eligibility requirements, the selection process, preparation and other career opportunities in the defence services.
BANKING, AGRICULTURE AND LIVELIHOOD GUIDANCE
Representatives from J&K Bank, HDFC Bank and the State Bank of India, along with officials from the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Health departments, will provide information on banking services, government welfare schemes, agricultural practices, horticulture and livelihood-generation opportunities.
The initiative is designed to extend the camp’s benefits beyond medical assistance by connecting local residents with relevant government services, financial facilities and opportunities for socio-economic development.
COORDINATION WITH CIVIL ADMINISTRATION
The Mega Medical Camp is being organised in close coordination with Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar; District Hospital Kishtwar; and other district administration agencies. Kishtwar Police, civil administration officials, health authorities, local representatives and community stakeholders are also coordinating efforts to ensure effective mobilisation and the smooth conduct of the event.
Administrative arrangements and refreshment facilities are being established for the convenience of beneficiaries.
Through this comprehensive initiative, the Indian Army aims to address critical healthcare and welfare requirements in Kishtwar and surrounding remote areas. By bringing together specialist medical services, diagnostic facilities, digital health registration, assistive devices, veterans’ support, youth career guidance and livelihood awareness, the camp seeks to strengthen the relationship between the Army and the local population.
The initiative under Operation Sadbhavana underscores the Indian Army and Northern Command’s commitment to humanitarian assistance, inclusive development and the socio-economic well-being of communities across the region.

किश्तवाड़, 29 अक्टूबर 2026। भारतीय सेना जम्मू-कश्मीर के किश्तवाड़ जिले और आसपास के दुर्गम क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोगों को बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं और कल्याणकारी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने के उद्देश्य से ऑपरेशन सद्भावना के तहत दो दिवसीय मेगा मेडिकल कैंप आयोजित करेगी। यह शिविर 1 और 2 नवंबर 2026 को किश्तवाड़ स्थित एडवांस्ड लैंडिंग ग्राउंड (ALG) में लगाया जाएगा। इस पहल से किश्तवाड़ जिले और आसपास के दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों के लगभग 4,500 से 5,000 लोगों को लाभ मिलने की उम्मीद है।
इस कार्यक्रम में प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय में केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री एवं उधमपुर लोकसभा क्षेत्र के सांसद डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह के शामिल होने का कार्यक्रम है। उनके साथ सेना और नागरिक प्रशासन के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी मौजूद रहेंगे।
भारतीय सेना की यह पहल दूरदराज के उन क्षेत्रों में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की पहुंच बढ़ाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण मानी जा रही है, जहां लोगों को विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सा सुविधाओं तक पहुंचने में कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है। ऑपरेशन सद्भावना के तहत आयोजित यह शिविर चिकित्सा सहायता, सामाजिक कल्याण और स्थानीय समुदायों के साथ बेहतर समन्वय स्थापित करने पर केंद्रित रहेगा।
एक ही स्थान पर मिलेंगी कई विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सा सेवाएं
मेगा मेडिकल कैंप में विभिन्न चिकित्सा विशेषज्ञों की टीम तैनात रहेगी। इसमें सामान्य चिकित्सा विशेषज्ञ, नेत्र रोग विशेषज्ञ, बाल रोग विशेषज्ञ, हड्डी रोग विशेषज्ञ, किडनी रोग विशेषज्ञ, एनेस्थीसिया विशेषज्ञ, कान-नाक-गला रोग विशेषज्ञ और दंत चिकित्सा विशेषज्ञ शामिल होंगे।
विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सक लोगों की जांच करेंगे, आवश्यक परामर्श देंगे और जरूरत के अनुसार निर्धारित दवाइयां उपलब्ध कराएंगे। इसके साथ ही शिविर में संपूर्ण रक्त गणना (CBC), हीमोग्लोबिन और रैंडम ब्लड शुगर (RBS) जैसी जांच सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध रहेंगी।
शिविर के दौरान लोगों को बीमारियों की रोकथाम, नियमित स्वास्थ्य जांच और बेहतर स्वास्थ्य संबंधी आदतों के बारे में भी जागरूक किया जाएगा। महिलाओं, बच्चों, बुजुर्गों और समाज के अन्य जरूरतमंद वर्गों के स्वास्थ्य पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा।
ABHA कार्ड पंजीकरण और जरूरतमंदों को मिलेंगे सहायक उपकरण
शिविर स्थल पर आयुष्मान भारत हेल्थ अकाउंट (ABHA) पंजीकरण के लिए अलग सुविधा स्थापित की जाएगी। इसके माध्यम से लाभार्थियों को डिजिटल हेल्थ आईडी बनाने और आयुष्मान भारत डिजिटल मिशन के अंतर्गत अपने स्वास्थ्य रिकॉर्ड तक पहुंचने में सहायता मिलेगी।
इसके अतिरिक्त, जरूरतमंद लोगों को चिकित्सा एवं सहायक उपकरण वितरित किए जाएंगे। इनमें व्हीलचेयर, बैसाखियां, चलने की छड़ियां, वॉकर, श्रवण यंत्र और आवश्यक दवाइयां शामिल होंगी।
इस व्यवस्था का उद्देश्य दिव्यांगजनों, चलने-फिरने में कठिनाई का सामना करने वाले लोगों और अन्य जरूरतमंद लाभार्थियों की सहायता करना है, ताकि उनकी दैनिक गतिविधियों में आसानी हो और जीवन की गुणवत्ता बेहतर बनाई जा सके।
वीर नारियों और पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए विशेष सहायता केंद्र
मेगा मेडिकल कैंप में वीर नारियों और पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए अलग सहायता केंद्र स्थापित किए जाएंगे। इन केंद्रों पर पूर्व सैनिकों के कल्याण, पेंशन संबंधी मामलों, आवश्यक दस्तावेजों और शिकायतों के समाधान से जुड़ी जानकारी एवं सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। इसके लिए संबंधित विभागों और अधिकारियों के साथ समन्वय किया जाएगा।
युवाओं के लिए भी एक अलग सुविधा केंद्र बनाया जाएगा। यहां अग्निवीर भर्ती प्रक्रिया, पात्रता मानदंड, चयन प्रक्रिया, तैयारी और सशस्त्र बलों में उपलब्ध करियर अवसरों के संबंध में मार्गदर्शन दिया जाएगा।
इस पहल का उद्देश्य युवाओं को रक्षा सेवाओं में भर्ती से संबंधित सही जानकारी उपलब्ध कराना और उन्हें चयन प्रक्रिया के लिए बेहतर ढंग से तैयार होने में सहायता देना है।
बैंकिंग, कृषि और रोजगार के अवसरों पर भी मार्गदर्शन
शिविर में जम्मू-कश्मीर बैंक, एचडीएफसी बैंक और भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के प्रतिनिधि भी शामिल होंगे। इनके अलावा कृषि, पशुपालन और स्वास्थ्य विभागों के अधिकारी विभिन्न सरकारी योजनाओं, बैंकिंग सुविधाओं, कृषि पद्धतियों, बागवानी और आजीविका के अवसरों के बारे में लोगों को जानकारी देंगे।
इससे शिविर का दायरा केवल चिकित्सा सेवाओं तक सीमित नहीं रहेगा, बल्कि स्थानीय नागरिकों को सरकारी कल्याणकारी योजनाओं, वित्तीय सुविधाओं और आर्थिक गतिविधियों से जुड़ने में भी सहायता मिलेगी।
जिला प्रशासन और सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के साथ समन्वय
मेगा मेडिकल कैंप का आयोजन किश्तवाड़ के उपायुक्त पंकज कुमार शर्मा, जिला अस्पताल किश्तवाड़ और अन्य संबंधित प्रशासनिक एजेंसियों के साथ समन्वय करके किया जा रहा है।
कार्यक्रम के सफल संचालन के लिए किश्तवाड़ पुलिस, नागरिक प्रशासन, स्वास्थ्य विभाग, स्थानीय प्रतिनिधियों और समुदाय के अन्य हितधारकों के साथ भी समन्वय स्थापित किया जा रहा है। शिविर में पहुंचने वाले लाभार्थियों की सुविधा के लिए आवश्यक प्रशासनिक व्यवस्थाएं और जलपान की सुविधाएं भी सुनिश्चित की जा रही हैं।
सेना और अवाम के बीच विश्वास मजबूत करने की पहल
ऑपरेशन सद्भावना के तहत आयोजित यह मेगा मेडिकल कैंप भारतीय सेना की मानवीय सहायता, समावेशी विकास और जनकल्याण के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है। विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सा सेवाओं, स्वास्थ्य जांच, डिजिटल हेल्थ आईडी, सहायक उपकरणों के वितरण, पूर्व सैनिकों के कल्याण, युवाओं के मार्गदर्शन और आजीविका संबंधी जानकारी को एक ही मंच पर उपलब्ध कराकर इस पहल के माध्यम से स्थानीय जरूरतों को पूरा करने का प्रयास किया जाएगा।
