The successful conclusion of the port call by Indian Naval Ships (INS) Tarkash and INS Ikshak at Port Victoria, Seychelles, on 29 June 2026 marked yet another milestone in India’s expanding maritime diplomacy and strategic engagement in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). A Symbolic Presence at Seychelles’ Golden Jubilee Celebrations
One of the defining moments of the deployment came on 28 June 2026, when the marching contingent and Naval Band of INS Tarkash proudly represented India during the National Day Parade in Seychelles. The event assumed special significance as the Prime Minister of India attended the celebrations as the Guest of Honour, underscoring the strategic importance New Delhi attaches to its partnership with the island nation.

भारतीय नौसेना के युद्धपोत आईएनएस तरकश और आईएनएस ईक्षक ने 29 जून 2026 को सेशेल्स के पोर्ट विक्टोरिया की अपनी सफल यात्रा पूरी करते हुए हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में भारत की समुद्री कूटनीति, सामरिक सहयोग और मानवीय प्रतिबद्धता का एक और प्रभावशाली उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया। यह यात्रा केवल एक सामान्य पोर्ट कॉल नहीं थी, बल्कि भारत और सेशेल्स के बीच दशकों पुराने विश्वास, रक्षा सहयोग और समुद्री साझेदारी को नई ऊंचाई देने वाला बहुआयामी मिशन साबित हुई।
सेशेल्स के राष्ट्रीय दिवस और स्वर्ण जयंती समारोह के अवसर पर हुई इस तैनाती के दौरान भारतीय नौसेना ने सैन्य सहयोग, सांस्कृतिक सहभागिता, हाइड्रोग्राफिक विशेषज्ञता, सामुदायिक सेवा और रणनीतिक संवाद जैसे अनेक क्षेत्रों में अपनी सक्रिय उपस्थिति दर्ज कराई। यह मिशन भारत सरकार के ‘महासागर’ (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions) दृष्टिकोण का सशक्त उदाहरण भी बना, जिसका उद्देश्य हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में सामूहिक सुरक्षा, विकास और क्षेत्रीय सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना है।
राष्ट्रीय दिवस परेड में भारतीय नौसेना की शानदार भागीदारी
इस यात्रा का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण आकर्षण 28 जून 2026 को आयोजित सेशेल्स के राष्ट्रीय दिवस परेड में आईएनएस तरकश के मार्चिंग दल और नौसेना बैंड की भागीदारी रही। इस ऐतिहासिक अवसर पर भारत के माननीय प्रधानमंत्री मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे, जिसने इस आयोजन को भारत-सेशेल्स संबंधों के दृष्टिकोण से और भी अधिक महत्वपूर्ण बना दिया।
भारतीय नौसेना के अनुशासित मार्चिंग दल और शानदार नौसेना बैंड ने न केवल समारोह की गरिमा बढ़ाई बल्कि दोनों देशों के बीच दशकों पुराने विश्वास, मित्रता और सामरिक सहयोग का भी प्रभावशाली प्रदर्शन किया। यह सहभागिता इस बात का संदेश थी कि भारत अपने मित्र देशों के राष्ट्रीय गौरव और महत्वपूर्ण अवसरों में समान भागीदार बनकर खड़ा रहता है।
INS ईक्षक ने दिखाई भारत की हाइड्रोग्राफिक क्षमता
इस यात्रा के दौरान आईएनएस ईक्षक ने अपनी अत्याधुनिक हाइड्रोग्राफिक सर्वेक्षण क्षमता का प्रदर्शन करते हुए 300 से अधिक आगंतुकों का स्वागत किया। जहाज पर आए आगंतुकों को आधुनिक सर्वेक्षण उपकरणों, समुद्री नक्शा निर्माण, सुरक्षित नौवहन, बंदरगाह विकास तथा समुद्री संसाधनों के वैज्ञानिक प्रबंधन में हाइड्रोग्राफी की भूमिका से विस्तार से अवगत कराया गया।
भारतीय नौसेना ने इस अवसर पर यह भी प्रदर्शित किया कि वह केवल समुद्री सुरक्षा तक सीमित नहीं है बल्कि हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र के देशों को तकनीकी विशेषज्ञता, समुद्री मानचित्रण, क्षमता निर्माण तथा सुरक्षित नौवहन में भी महत्वपूर्ण सहयोग प्रदान कर रही है। भारत आज क्षेत्र के अनेक देशों के लिए एक विश्वसनीय हाइड्रोग्राफिक साझेदार के रूप में उभर चुका है।
मानवीय सेवा के माध्यम से मजबूत हुआ विश्वास
भारतीय नौसेना की पहचान केवल युद्धक क्षमता तक सीमित नहीं है बल्कि मानवता की सेवा भी उसकी प्राथमिकताओं में शामिल है। इसी सोच को आगे बढ़ाते हुए आईएनएस ईक्षक के चालक दल ने सेशेल्स स्थित भारतीय उच्चायोग के सहयोग से इंग्लिश रिवर होम में एक स्वास्थ्य शिविर आयोजित किया।
इस दौरान स्थानीय निवासियों को चिकित्सा परामर्श उपलब्ध कराया गया तथा प्राथमिक उपचार किट और आवश्यक सामग्री वितरित की गई। यह पहल भारत की उस विदेश नीति को दर्शाती है जिसमें सामरिक सहयोग के साथ-साथ स्थानीय समुदायों के कल्याण को भी समान महत्व दिया जाता है। भारतीय नौसेना की ऐसी मानवीय गतिविधियां मित्र देशों के साथ विश्वास और जनसंपर्क को और अधिक मजबूत बनाती हैं।
भारत-सेशेल्स रक्षा एवं समुद्री साझेदारी को मिली नई मजबूती
