Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025: Emotional Tributes Paid at India-Pakistan Border Memorial in Sriganaganagar
Sriganganagar, Rajasthan – On the solemn occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025, a grand tribute ceremony was organized at the newly developed war memorial situated on the India-Pakistan international border in Naee village, a sensitive location near the desert stretch of Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district. The event marked a powerful reminder of the valor, sacrifice, and indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil conflict.
Wreath Laying and Pipe Band Tribute by the Garhwal Rifles
The ceremony commenced with the laying of wreaths and floral tributes at the memorial. Amid the rising notes of patriotism, soldiers of the 10th Garhwal Rifles performed a synchronized pipe band display. Their disciplined and emotive performance deeply moved the assembled dignitaries and civilians, bringing alive the memories of sacrifice and victory.
This was followed by a solemn silence, observed in honor of the brave martyrs, with the desert wind carrying the strains of the band music as a tribute to the heroes of the Indian Army.
NCC Cadets’ Patriotic Songs Stir Emotion
Adding to the emotional fervor, NCC cadets, both boys and girls from nearby educational institutions, performed patriotic songs that left many teary-eyed. Their renditions of “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” and “Teri Mitti” created an emotional connection between generations — from war veterans and army families to the young cadets inspired by tales of valor.
The event also featured a live military weapons exhibition, showcasing arms and equipment used by the Indian Army during operations and border patrols. This exhibition attracted major interest from children and local youth, with army officials explaining each weapon’s history and role in real-time combat.
Senior Army Commanders and Local Dignitaries in Attendance
The ceremony saw the participation of several high-ranking officials, including:

- Brigadier Prayog Suba, Commander of 15 Infantry Brigade

Their presence not only elevated the occasion but also symbolized the Indian Army’s continued commitment to honoring its heroes in every terrain, be it Siachen or the sands of Rajasthan.
Civilians, Women Leaders Pay Respects to the Martyrs
The emotionally resonant ceremony also witnessed participation from the local civilian population of Naee village, many of whom are direct or indirect witnesses of border skirmishes and wartime movements.
Two women representatives — Mrs. Manju Jakhar and Mrs. Nidhi Senwal — paid floral tributes on behalf of the ‘Matrishakti’ symbolizing the contribution of mothers and wives who’ve stood strong behind every soldier.
‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ Campaign Connects Greenery to Martyrdom
The tribute concluded with a tree plantation ceremony under the ongoing nationwide campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name). The soldiers, officers, and civilians together planted saplings near the memorial, sending out a message of peace, ecological harmony, and eternal remembrance of the fallen warriors.
This act was symbolic — connecting the idea of nurturing life through nature while paying homage to those who gave up theirs for the country.
A Fitting Salute from the Border
As the sun set over the barbed wire of the international border, the memorial stood tall as a reminder of courage, patriotism, and sacrifice. The Garhwal Rifles, known for their legendary gallantry, once again upheld their legacy — not just in battlefields, but in ceremonies that keep history alive for generations.
The event will be remembered as not just a ritual, but a revival of emotion — where uniforms, civilians, and tricolor came together to honor the brave sons of India.
कारगिल विजय दिवस पर भारत-पाक बॉर्डर के नए मेमोरियल स्थल पर वीर शहीदों को दी गई श्रद्धांजलि
श्रीगंगानगर, राजस्थान – कारगिल विजय दिवस 2025 के अवसर पर राजस्थान के सीमावर्ती जिले श्रीगंगानगर के अंतरराष्ट्रीय भारत-पाक सीमा पर स्थित नई गांव में नवनिर्मित मेमोरियल स्थल पर भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि सभा का आयोजन किया गया। यह स्थल उन शहीदों की याद में समर्पित है जिन्होंने 1999 में कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान मातृभूमि की रक्षा करते हुए सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया।
गड़वाल राइफल्स की पाइप बैंड ने बढ़ाया आयोजन का गौरव
श्रद्धांजलि सभा की शुरुआत दसवीं गढ़वाल राइफल्स द्वारा की गई पाइप बैंड की प्रस्तुति से हुई, जिसने पूरे वातावरण को देशभक्ति से भर दिया। अनुशासित जवानों की तालबद्ध धुनों ने शहीदों के बलिदान को सलामी दी। इसके बाद सभी अधिकारियों और जवानों द्वारा पुष्पचक्र अर्पित कर श्रद्धांजलि दी गई।
एनसीसी कैडेट्स ने गीतों से भरा जोश और जज़्बा
इस मौके पर एनसीसी के छात्र-छात्राओं ने देशभक्ति गीतों की प्रस्तुति दी, जिसमें “ऐ मेरे वतन के लोगों” और “तेरी मिट्टी” जैसे गीतों ने हर श्रोता को भावुक कर दिया। युवाओं के इस प्रदर्शन ने यह जताया कि शहीदों की विरासत आज भी अगली पीढ़ी में जीवित है।
सेना के हथियारों की प्रदर्शनी बनी आकर्षण का केंद्र
मेमोरियल परिसर में सेना द्वारा प्रयुक्त हथियारों की प्रदर्शनी भी लगाई गई थी। छोटे बच्चों से लेकर ग्रामीण बुजुर्गों तक, हर वर्ग ने इस प्रदर्शनी में गहरी रुचि दिखाई। सेना के जवानों ने इन हथियारों के उपयोग, तकनीक और युद्धकालीन महत्व के बारे में भी विस्तार से जानकारी दी।
उच्च सैन्य अधिकारियों ने दी श्रद्धांजलि
इस गरिमामय आयोजन में कई वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे, जिनमें शामिल थे:

इन सभी अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति ने कार्यक्रम को विशेष गरिमा प्रदान की और सेना के प्रति आमजन में विश्वास को और भी प्रबल किया।
स्थानीय ग्रामीण और मातृशक्ति की सहभागिता
कार्यक्रम में सीमावर्ती गांव नई के गणमान्य नागरिकों ने भी भाग लिया, जिनमें से कई ने युद्धकाल की प्रत्यक्ष या परोक्ष अनुभूति की है। विशेष रूप से श्रीमती मंजू जाखड़ एवं श्रीमती निधि सेनवाल ने ‘मातृशक्ति’ की ओर से शहीदों को श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किए।
“एक पेड़ मां के नाम” के तहत हरियाली से जोड़ी शहादत की स्मृति
आयोजन के अंत में, “एक पेड़ मां के नाम” अभियान के तहत पौधारोपण किया गया। यह पहल शहीदों की याद को केवल शब्दों में नहीं, बल्कि प्रकृति और हरियाली के रूप में जीवित रखने का सशक्त प्रयास था। वृक्षारोपण करते समय हर हाथ में भावनाएं और हर गड्ढे में देश के लिए प्रेम समाया हुआ था।
सीमा पर शांति का संदेश और शौर्य का स्मरण
जैसे-जैसे सूरज सीमा के पार ढल रहा था, मेमोरियल स्थल पर गूंजती देशभक्ति की धुनें शहीदों की गाथा सुना रही थीं। यह आयोजन न केवल श्रद्धांजलि था, बल्कि एक संकल्प भी — कि देशभक्ति सिर्फ युद्धभूमि में नहीं, प्रत्येक नागरिक के हृदय में भी जीवित रहे।
