KONARK GUNNERS CYCLING EXPEDITION FLAGGED-IN AT LONGEWALA ON VIJAY DIWAS

As part of the events leading to Bicentenary Celebrations of Regiment of Artillery, Konark Gunners cycling expedition under the aegis of HQ 12 Corps was flagged-in at Longewala on 16 Dec 2023.
The 14 days expedition started on 03 Dec from Vigokot Fort in Gujrat and after successful completion, it was flagged in by Major General Punit Mehta, GOC Jodhpur Sub Area & Colonel Commandant Regiment of Artillery at Longewala War Memorial on 16 December on the occasion of ‘Vijay Diwas’.
The expedition covered a distance of 1200 KMs through 67 border villages of Gujrat and Rajasthan thus promoting the spirit of adventure and spread awareness of Agnipath Scheme among youth of border villages. A total of 42 participants including officers, JCOs & PBOR participated in the expedition.
This expedition aimed to enhance outreach initiative and motivate youth to join Armed Forces. It also spread awareness about the Armed Forces and their role in various aspects of the society. Interactive sessions were organized to provide information about Agnipath Scheme in border villages. The participants motivated students and younger generation by giving them an insight into the Indian Army and serve the nation with pride.
The participants in the rally also distributed pamphlets containing entitlements to the Ex-Servicemen and thanked ‘Veer Naris’ for their sacrifice by felicitating them at various locations.

आर्टिलरी रेजिमेंट के द्विशताब्दी समारोह के कार्यक्रमों के हिस्से के रूप में, मुख्यालय 12 कोर के तत्वावधान में कोणार्क गनर्स द्वारा 16 दिसंबर 2023 को लोंगेवाला में एक साइकिलिंग अभियान को फ्लैग-इन किया गया ।
14 दिवसीय अभियान 03 दिसंबर को गुजरात के विगोकोट किले से शुरू हुआ और सफलतापूर्वक पूरा होने के बाद, इसे 16 दिसंबर को लोंगेवाला युद्ध स्मारक पर मेजर जनरल पुनित मेहता, जीओसी जोधपुर सब एरिया और आर्टिलरी रेजिमेंट के कर्नल कमांडेंट रेजिमेंट द्वारा हरी झंडी दिखाई गई ।
इस अभियान ने गुजरात और राजस्थान के 67 सीमावर्ती गांवों से होकर 1200 किलोमीटर की दूरी तय की और इस प्रकार सीमावर्ती गांवों के युवाओं में रोमांच की भावना को बढ़ावा दिया और अग्निपथ योजना के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाई। अभियान में अधिकारियों, जेसीओ और पीबीओआर सहित कुल 42 प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया।
इस अभियान का उद्देश्य आउटरीच पहल को बढ़ाना और युवाओं को सशस्त्र बलों में शामिल होने के लिए प्रेरित करना था। इसने सशस्त्र बलों और समाज के विभिन्न पहलुओं में उनकी भूमिका के बारे में जागरूकता भी फैलाई। युवाओं को अग्निपथ योजना के बारे में शिक्षित करने के लिए सीमावर्ती गांवों की यात्रा के दौरान विभिन्न पहलुओं की जानकारी प्रदान करने के लिए इंटरैक्टिव सत्र आयोजित किए गए। प्रतिभागियों ने छात्रों और युवा पीढ़ी को भारतीय सेना के बारे में जानकारी देकर और सशस्त्र बलों का पेशा अपनाने और गर्व के साथ देश की सेवा करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
रैली में भाग लेने वालों ने पूर्व सैनिकों को उनके अधिकारों से संबंधित पर्चे भी वितरित किए और विभिन्न स्थानों पर उनका अभिनंदन करके ‘वीर नारियों’ को उनके बलिदान के लिए धन्यवाद दिया ।
