Lieutenant General Vineet Sharma, Director General Dental Services and Colonel Commandant of the Army Dental Corps, is set to superannuate on 31 May 2026 after an illustrious 38-year career in the Armed Forces Medical Services. His long and distinguished journey has been marked by unwavering commitment, professional excellence and selfless service to the nation.
Over nearly four decades in uniform, Lt Gen Sharma has made significant contributions to the growth, modernization and professional strengthening of military dentistry in India. As a senior leader of the Armed Forces Medical Services, he played a vital role in advancing clinical standards, encouraging academic excellence and promoting innovation within the Army Dental Corps.
A visionary officer, Lt Gen Sharma worked to modernize the approach to dental care across the Armed Forces, ensuring that military personnel and their families received patient-centric treatment backed by high professional standards.
