Lieutenant Colonel Kabilan Sai Ashok of the Army Physical Training Corps (APTC) has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian to be appointed President of the Boxing Committee of the International Military Sports Council (CISM).

In recognition of his exceptional contribution to military sports, he was also conferred with the prestigious Knight Medal at the CISM Headquarters in Monaco. The achievement marks a significant step in enhancing India’s presence in global military sports administration.

Lt Col Ashok had earlier made headlines by becoming the youngest Olympic boxing referee from India at the Paris 2024 Olympics. His role at the Games reflected his high standards of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to fair play, ensuring that matches were conducted with impartiality and adherence to international norms.

Currently serving as Joint Secretary at the Services Sports Control Board, he has played a key role in promoting sportsmanship and ethical conduct within the armed forces.
