Northern Army Commander highlights technology-driven adaptation and operational readiness during visit to forward areas in Jammu and Kashmir.

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of the Northern Command, visited the forward areas of the White Knight Corps to review the operational preparedness and readiness of troops deployed in the region.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the prevailing security situation, operational deployments and measures being undertaken to maintain a high level of combat readiness in the area of responsibility.

Interacting with commanders and troops, Lt Gen Sharma emphasized the evolving nature of modern operational challenges and underscored the importance of leveraging emerging technologies to enhance battlefield effectiveness. He highlighted the need for continuous adaptation of tactics, techniques and procedures to meet dynamic security threats and ensure successful mission accomplishment.

As part of the visit, the Army Commander inaugurated a state-of-the-art medical facility operationalised in a forward area. The new facility is expected to enhance medical support and healthcare services for troops deployed in remote and operationally challenging locations, contributing to improved operational sustainability and troop welfare.

Lt Gen Sharma appreciated the professionalism, dedication and operational competence displayed by all ranks. He commended the troops for maintaining high morale and demonstrating unwavering commitment towards safeguarding national security under demanding conditions.

The Army Commander also lauded the efforts of the formation in maintaining a robust operational posture and encouraged all personnel to continue striving for excellence, vigilance and readiness in the service of the nation.

The visit reaffirmed Northern Command’s focus on operational preparedness, technology integration and troop welfare while ensuring effective response capabilities across the region.
