Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor Leads Tribute on 76th UN Peacekeepers Day at National War Memorial

In a solemn and poignant ceremony held on May 29, 2024, Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Information Systems & Coordination), commemorated the 76th anniversary of UN Peacekeepers Day by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial (NWM).

The event paid homage to the brave soldiers who have laid down their lives while serving in various peacekeeping missions around the world, dedicated to the cause of peace and stability.

Senior military officers, officials from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), as well as various other dignitaries, were also present.
