Lt Gen Virendra Vats Meets Ladakh LG Vinai Kumar Saxena to Strengthen NCC Outreach

Discussions focus on youth engagement, leadership development and expanding NCC initiatives across Ladakh.

Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), accompanied by Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General of NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena.

During the meeting, discussions were held on enhancing NCC outreach, expanding youth engagement, and strengthening cadet development initiatives across the Union Territory.

Both sides underscored a shared vision of empowering the younger generation through leadership, discipline, character-building, and nation-building programmes under the NCC framework.

Officials stated that the interaction reaffirmed the pivotal role of the National Cadet Corps in shaping responsible, motivated, and socially aware citizens while creating greater opportunities for youth participation in remote and strategically important regions like Ladakh.

The meeting also highlighted the continued emphasis on strengthening institutional support, training infrastructure, and developmental opportunities for NCC cadets across the Union Territory.
